@@katekhara I really would recommend the discovery set if you can get hold of it. Cacao Porcelana seems to be either a love or a hate from what I have seen. The only one I haven't tried is Cuir Nilam

@@katekhara Never, but I sampled the line long ago. Wore a couple of them from samples like Myrrhe Imperiale, Rose d'Arabie and Bleu Lazuli too. The latter actually a nice sweet autumn fragrance. Not "blue" at all. Still have a sample of Cuir Noir lying around somewhere... Generally a rather deep, refined, albeit simplistic collection, but some of them are certainly well done.

Hi Katie, your video made me think of Chanel's Paris - Édimbourg, so I put some on today, and I shared your video in a facebook group for people who like to sample fragrances. PS. I was so glad Claire Smith shared your channel in her recent tag video. I agree with her that we love your knowledge of and taste in fragrances!

Personally I think it's something with basic safety fears and living with a feeling that there is not enough great stuff for you in this world, so you have to hold on to something you have. But when it prevents us from enjoying life in its fullest, it becomes a problem! I think it's a great question for therapy or at least a conversation with a friend, to understand how this happened. I hope you solve this and start enjoying your beautiful perfumes freely without a doubt!🙏🏼🩷

@@katekhara Thank you! ☺️ The current Apree L’Ondee is very pretty I think and is part of the Guerlain Les Légendaires collection that was released in 2021. It is a beautiful, ethereal powdery violet along with some anise, vanilla, iris etc. It is certainly not a ‘beast mode’ scent by any means, it never has been, it has always been a very soft & gentle, close to the skin scent, but quite long lasting fragrance. One of those perfumes that entices you in closer to the wearer to find out what beautiful fragrance they’re wearing. I wouldn’t worry about chasing down any vintages, they’re a real unicorn, hard to find and quite expensive. Current formula said to be pretty much the same as the previous bee bottle version. Unless you do happen to find a reasonably priced vintage one of course, buy it, yes! But the current version is pretty, I have that one and it’s a nice one to have especially so for an introvert. @@katekhara Ah yes, the lovely Philtre de Parfum does have lavender, such a beautiful perfume! 💜 So sad Guerlain discontinued it, but I managed to get some backups before they all disappear. 😊 Also, if you love the peach in Mitsouko, or having trouble finding that in the bottle you have, then try to find vintage Eau de Cologne or Cologne sprays, they have a stronger peach note that’s sublime! Mitsouko EDP also has more of that lovely peach. 🍑

@@katekhara I hear you! ❤ I simply realized that I'm not a collector, I'm just someone who loves perfumes because I love wearing them. And having too many perfumes was creating almost anxiety-like feeling because I was loosing control over my buying them. The telling sign is if you feel a little bit guilty for buying yet another perfume. I picked 2-5 in each category (floral, amber, everyday, going out/party, gourmand, summer/beach, winter, etc.) I and now happier with my small collection than I was when I had too many. That is because I absolutely ADORE each and every perfume in the categories that I chose. But I'm still buying samples from time to time. It's much easier to manage now that I know I have the best of the best already! 😁
