Them Jet engines are something else. The roar!!!
This is not an Auxiliary Operational Base but an even rarer Zero site. These were used to send information back to HQ via VHF radio. Hence the arrangement of vent pipes in the rear room and fuse holders. This also housed a small generator to charge car style batteries to operate the VHF radio system. If you look in the left wall you can see the feeder cables to the aerials. Looking outside there is a large tree and cut into the bark you can just see the feeder cables for the fixed dipole aerial that was camouflaged in the tree branches. The site was operated by two women only. I hope this information makes it clearer the use of the Zero site.

anyone know why at 1.49 a guardsman ran off out of formation? I'm assuming he was the "security" guy but you dont see it often. Did something happen
All normal procedure. As the guard exits the barracks, two corporals run forward and take post as the Captains Escort. As the guard enters the security of Buckingham Palace, they return to their position at the rear of the duties. Takes place very time both in London and in Windsor. The commands to make this happen are "Out the Escort" and "In the Escort".
