I understand depression and suicidality but I don’t understand people being that talented but so weak emotionally. I was suicidal for 23 years until recently when I got on the right mix of psych meds, and I’m so glad I didn’t do to my parents what reckful did. His poor parents lost 2 kids young to suicide, you don’t recover from that. I have learned though that you never know what it’s like to be in another persons shoes and that nobody jumps off a balcony without being in unbearable pain. RIP Byron.

People change their minds, he did, i don't like that he did, but you cant argue with the human mind, and that's what sucks. Twitter is really a cesspool of self-righteous spergs fighting their own strawmen. A man who became rich, successful and loved based on his own work? No, they have to hate. And they will go significant lengths to justify their preconceptions. Its noticeable for a lot of other public figures as well. ... that being said, I get the feeling Notch does enjoy baiting them into spergouts.

The way you explain things is like me deeply overthinking about modern day social media

Seems like he blurred the lines pretty much between therapy and coaching to the point that the licensing board reprimanded him that the way he positions himself in the social media landscape is dangerous. I think the issue is mostly his Twitch streams that seem to be blurring the line between discussion and therapy, the CZcams content is pretty much fine, and i think it is about the difference between CZcamss and Twitchs guidelines and i think that's why he keeps the pseudotherapy sessions in Twitch while general advice in CZcams, because CZcams is more strict around mental health content in relation to Twitch. I think introducing the idea of reincarnation, the idea that you are reborn after death allowing to start a life from scratch to a person that has shared with you that they are struggling with suicidal thoughts is dangerous. Although not the the cause, probably contributed to Reckful thinking lightly about death.

The ending brought me to tears. Not because i didn't know how Reckful's story ended but at how well you were able to summarize his life: A guy who's purpose was to make the best life for himself.

I remember Dr.K told reckful about the risk and possibility of his sadness coming back at some point. And explained to him that since he was at such an high point in his life it cuold have hit harder
