You'll get there. Just keep practicing. What I do is, I look for visual cues to get the right timing for TDS parry(eg. Elbow bending etc). You just have to look for visual cues that works for you. Thanks for watching!

Yes. Getting the timing right with parries really makes the game alot easier(more opportunities for groggy). Also with everything at your disposal(items, legion arms, throwables etc), you won't have problems with any boss.

Yes he is very satisfying to play once you get the timing down and you keep on hitting perfect executions. Also, my build here is not optimized(dmg cap not max, no terminus weapon).

Wdym? Without comboing? Link attacks acts like a dodge cancel. Yes you can cancel an attack with link attack and continue the combo after. If you cancel the 5th strike of the perfect combo with a link attack, you can go straight to a perfect execution.

Comboes with "Perfect Execution" Finisher at the end are Combo C. You can't do a perfect execution finisher if your timing is not perfect. I was also able to do 2 perfect execution finishers at the end.

You should use your drain sigil together with his drain skill. It will stack and you'll get higher life steal.

I wish it varied on attack speed like how Cascade is

I'm not guarding. Those are all parries. It takes a while to return to neutral stance after a parry, that's why it looked like I'm still guarding. Hope that makes sense.

Dodge cancel for perfect timing combo? I just do it with a quick 1 2 press(dodge box/dodge triangle) or when his feet starts to touch the ground after a dodge. That's what works for me. Keep practicing that and you'll get the timing for sure.
