Knowing that there’s some building as well, I’ll probably go back and watch last episode. At least for me, CZcams did push it, but the thumbnail and title didn’t drive me to click.

Regarding the unexpected pillager patrols in your base: Those can still spawn in light levels up to 7. The wiki says 8 and lower, but I'm pretty sure it's only below 8. Either way, they were never dropped to light level 0 the way most overworld mobs were. So if you prefer moodier light in your environment, you'll need to use more nonspawnable blocks in the dimmer areas.

For the underground market thing you could do something like a brick tunnel street with the shops built in the sides. A bit like Dirty Lane in London

The warped sprouts/grass/I forget what it's called can only be gathered by shearing them. I'm not sure when this change was made but it was after a lot of the initial farm designs were... well designed. Also you did link the wrong video for the fungus farm, and while we're talking fungus farms: Fungi are used to grow nether trees and thus the farms designed for them are usually not concerned with warped sprouts or any other items they might produce except for recycling them into bonemeal. I think the bonemeal return being so high was the main reason to not drop sprouts from sources other than shearing them, come to think of it.

In terms of lore suggestions: in combination with the until-recently-abandoned city above, my thoughts immediately turn to something like *Mount Weather* in the US. The idea is that, in the event of a nuclear war, a small group of bigwigs and their families would take shelter in this self-sustaining underground complex. Now fast forward a few generations, the surface is now liveable, and the descendants of Mount Weather are beginning to emerge. But their farms, markets and the core of their civilization might still have roots underground.

If you are curious about the cart loop its called "cart yeeting" its one of my favorite redstone terms. Basically the cart get pulled to the water logged rail but collides with the cauldron hitbox "destroying" but the momentum of the contents hold so they get "yeeted" out into the stream. The cart entity gets picked up by a hopper and gets re-dispensed.

I think big pilars or big arches at the bottom of your base look nice and also give more realism :)

you could maybe make some of the bigger farms that you cant make into stalls like sort of garages?? like those days where people open up their garages and do like a village carboot? or just like trucks and cars with selling outa the boot to cover up the farms if needed
