Have you listened to “Black” live? This one. czcams.com/video/vE26dVkCvpw/video.htmlsi=osOzYsEnqUlTpqSX
He was saying he ran away from his child like his parents did with him.
Sayed this was recorded live in the Grande Ballroom Detroit 1967
Try “Oh Well “ next time Green God!
All greatt - dead insiside, sorry
Metallica riffs are heavy, but not distorted. Many of their songs have a military theme (or anti-war), and you can detect a marching band sort of cadence at times. They also tend to use the bass guitar (the deep thick riffs you mentioned) as a secondary time-keeping instrument. These are things that give the band that signature sound. Before James Hetfield lost his original voice, his voice was like a roaring lion. All of those qualities made the the greatest metal band in history...imo anyway.
You mentioned that the Drums go alongside the guitar. And thats true. there are many instances where the Rhythm of Jimmy page' playing matches perfectly with the drums. As a guitar player i had to understand this before i could play some of his music. The other thing i 2anted 5o ke tion is. S9me people treat 4ap artists as untalented because of the way they create their misic. This is simply untrue. Their talents lie in other areas
My top 3 Eagles songs...One of These Nights ❤️ I Can't Tell You Why ❤️ Already Gone ❤️
It's Fry...as in "fry an egg" 😊
Very insightful and in-depth, while I don't agree with it all, the issue with Jim is always more layers than one person understands or can comprehend. But great effort and a joy to listen to! I did read that the blue bus references was the colour of the school bus when he was a teenager, so much imagery throughout his time mixed in.
I had to skip you forever just seeing your reaction
hi Syed, great analysis. Check out "Tomorrow Never Knows" by the Beatles. and watch the potty mouth, you're above that.
that's one of the most brilliant tracks ever recorded. Timeless since 1970.
I'm not sure whether psychedelics really do help with artistic inspiration and innovation. Is this a myth or is there actual evidence that they do?
Piano by Billy Preston, who also worked with The Beatles.
Paul sings the "Ahhh... Ahhh.." part, even though it has the same effect added as John's verses. You can tell if you start with the second one, especially with the isolated track.
“You don’t need a weather man to know which way the wind blows” is a reference to a radical political group called the Weathermen.
The band who saved british music, freed us from the overproduced shite of Stock Aitken and Fukin Waterman If you were there you know, then my mate said to me one night have you heard the Stone Roses album yet? I hadn't even heard the name but that whole album on first listen i said to my m8 thats the best debut album i have had heard since the Sex Pistols, the ALBUM IS PERFECTION A 10/10 A BANGER ITS JUST ONE OF THOSE ALBUMS YOU KNOW A CLASSIC!!!!
They are the greatest band of the last 30 years easily
Watch the whole concert. Eric played rythm for the entire Dire Straits performance. This is something Dire Straits put together for 4 nights I think, and they always closed it...of course. Eric played rythm I think because their normal rythm guitarist had to go cause his wife was in labour.
I don't think he is talking about earthly riches but his conversion to Christ, exchanging the worthless rags of his own efforts to the riches of excepting the grace of God
Great analysis
You couldn’t get a more anti racist than mick jagger this is so misunderstood
Brilliant track !!’
They actually did an electric version of this tune, equally as outstanding. Love the period when Dylan and Knopfler collaborated. Slow Train and Infidels are great social commentary with a bit of prophecy and philosophy mixed in.
I’m glad this reactor is getting it. Ray Davies wrote this in 1966. Even The Beatles weren’t singing songs about this subject matter.
I’ve come to the conclusion that all the songs I absolutely love from all different genres, have one thing in common, they could all be sampled by hip hop artists.
i always thought it was the average person seeking the american dream who is just not seeing the bigger picture, and this is the first time "Mr. Jones" realizes how much more there is
That spooky sound, are a Theramin.
You need to listen rockin 1000 won't be fooled again
To me these acoustic songs show off Zeppelin’s diversity. Prince once said that every Zeppelin songs had a different color and I look at it that only relegating yourself to the power centric songs makes you miss the entire spectrum of color this band was capable of. Zeppelin 3 was the only as album that had degree of acoustic content and the way they blended acoustic instruments with electric was also a genius element to some of these tracks.. taking it into account that it came out in 1970 and the way this blending was done was groundbreaking.
It’s a harmonica or blues harp if you will, played by Plant. He actually plays harmonica on a number of Zeppelin songs throughout their catalog. You can clearly hear the guitar in the right speaker, the harmonica on the left. The harmonica definitely has its reverb reversed to give it a haunting quality and at times it may even have an analog delay just likes Bonham’s drums had on this track. Jones loved this song commenting that they achieved a real mood on this one.
I saw them on their Be Here Now tour in LA. "Supersonic" live was incredible.
The drummer is Ringo.
Hear the tolling of the bells- Iron bells! What a world of solemn thought their monody compels! In the silence of the night, How we shiver with affright At the melancholy menace of their tone! -- Poe
Blowin' in the Wind?
Holy snap! I thought I was the only one to notice this. FYI! HE WAS A YOUNG PERSON IN 1965! MY ADVICE IS NOT TO LET THE FUZZ IN
So agreed with you on cultures! Every one has its own contributions to genius.
Rap followed bob dylan, not the other way around.
Saw them in 1977, in Alabama!! 21,000 lighters turned up!! BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!! Best Rock band ever!!!!
Greatest band that ever walked planet earth led zeppelin
It’s a masterpiece , the lyrics are not funny it’s a love triangle. The girl is trapped she is married to a rich guy , her love is a boy she goes to visit . She just can’t. Hide her lying eyes . It’s her situation of what to do next , she set it up so carefully . So it’s about survival too Frey and Henley were just so prolific song writers
You realise Bob Dylan came before KRSOne etc? Jesus f*ck.
Listen to Kristofferson Me and Bobby McGee he wrote it and sings it the way its supposed to be sung.
One of the guitars sounds like a Guild 12 string
One of the few artists I have seen multiple times --- including getting drenched at the Rolling Thunder -- hard rain concert. Other muliples .. Dead (at the Glen and Redrocks) NRPS, Allman Bothers, Kristofferson.
nope too much talkie on to the next
You're a bright boy (I'm getting older). You really pick up on subtleties. Good ears.
Hey man hope all is well. You are missed. Your breakdowns of songs are ae ind to no e and possibly the best reactions to music I've ever seen. Hope you come back soon. We will be here waiting.
"Make Love, Not War", switch from supporting the Military Industrial Complex & starve the War machine, & don't suppress those kids that are demonstrating against injustice, & don't be a stumbling block to a progressive future, "get outta the new one". "The loser ( the anti war mvmt was unpopular at first)" now, will be later to win"..... He wrote lyrics like he was an OT prophet, in a Protest Song, style called the "Talking Blues". A lot of tunes favoring Civil Rights too, in his early years
