Oh gosh! Was this the road to island bend campground?? My friends & I are planning to go next week with a 4by and caravan and my 2 wheel front drive.. i guess I’ll be putting chains on!
What was the toilet situation please? I used to own a property 80acre called Magic Hill at Copeland nsw, outside of Gloucester. It was magical, with creek and waterfall boardering the national park. Please feel free to look it up. 😊😊😊 Happy travels guys.

@@ajlongworth69 we certainly do eat well and love that part of our camping. Did you know we have a digital cookbook which i released via our video on Coopernook? As for the windbreak, it’s saved us a few times & in winter can make our camp fire even more cosy.

We live 30 mins from Coopernook and it's one of my favourite free camps. Often go there for a quick few days away.
WOW, only 30 minutes! That's pretty special to have such a well maintained free camp down the road. In saying that, you have so much choice around you as you aren't far from North Haven area as well - we loved it there.
What do you use for security when you leave your van unattended at a site. Just bought your cookbook and am going to have a go in the back paddock before trying out when caravanning. Looks great. Can’t wait for volume 2. Stay safe. ❤
Awesome, how lucky are you to have a back paddock! We have a wheel lock for the van and some other thingy majiggy Steve can put on the hitch. We've left it many times but always feel relieved when it's still there when we return. With consideration given that we have an older van, there's probably much more desire for the latest ones. Heya guys, we've been following you for a while now.. Happy Birthday mate.. So great seeing you in our backyard 😅😊 We're in Taree, my Mate Rick said he spotted your van at coopy pub.. Tell you a short story..you just did the loop in reverse to what we did when covid hit.. &right after Big Nelly lookout we drove straight to the car yard and bought our 4x4.. & it's called #22 Nell.. hence on the number plate.. Love your channel, my wife and I even said it would be great to go camping with you... We were going to invite you up to show you the loop😂🤭🤦🤷 But you've just done it.. Nice look out especially with the ramp I normally have to carry our daughter up stairs she’s in a wheelchair; wasn’t to bad when she was younger but now she’s 17 an 34 kg but definitely enjoy camping with her ; another great video guys

I've passed the Coopernook turnoff on the highway dozens of times over the years, I guess I should make some time to actually take the turnoff to check out the area. Thank you for highlighting this gem of a place. I'm really looking forward to my retirement in a few years which will enable me to find some gems of my own.

I did a trip to Wollombi today, then to my favourite boutique winery - Tumberlaine Wines, followed by lunch at the HVG at Pokolbin. From Wollombi to Pokolbin, I decided to go the slightly longer route via Broke to see if I can find the pebbles you left at McNamara Park. Happy to say, I found two out of three. Kept one (couldn't decide which one to keep) and return the other one back to where it was hidden. This was like a treasure hunt. Great art BTW. 👍

Love your channel and your van Mildred - she is a trooper! Definitely a taker for your digital cookbook - you come up with ideas I never would have thought of. Loved the Soup in a Bottle and the Baked Apple in Puff Pastry which I am making tonight but alas not in the camp oven. Thankyou for showcasing what we have in our own backyard. We were feeling for you in the Wattagans episode as we owned a property backing onto Boundary Road where all those potholes were... never has been properly maintained (we used to run a Horse Riding stables for trail rides in the mountains) there some years ago. Must also add that your photography and drone visuals are excellent.

I generally camp solo (w/my dogs), as my other half is not too keen. So, good for you for not stopping you getting out there. You should stop by the Budgewoi Boat Ramp at Budgewoi. Then take a short walk along the walking path (that goes around the point not far from the boat ramp). The path is lined by various (100s) painted stones like what you do. Some of them are works of art, and some are very clever and funny. They go on for about a kilometre. You should add a stone (or two) of your beautiful work to the collection.
That’s awesome, I’ll definitely check it out some time this year. Our good friend lives in Budgewoi and plays in a band called Roll Again, we might come up next time they are playing at the pub. Oh wow, that’s wonderful. You must try the strudel with all the different flavours of chocolate. I’m keen to try it again with a Cadbury Snack block of chocolate, raspberries & sliced almonds. So good!
