I'm planning on getting a 2024 1500 Sierra AT4 and initially wanted the 3.0 Duramax. However, in watching videos on DEF, filters, oil consumption, etc., I think I'm going with the 6.2 liter over the 5.3 liter

I'm trading my ZL1. Big step down in power but I've had my fun with it and I need comfort and semi useable rear seats.

short box is useless for anyone who does work out of their truck....remember when you actually had to order a short bed, now standard beds are so hard to find people just move up to a 2500 and a 6'10" box, which is even better

Problem is, I like to switch the maps to screen in front of driver and have music up on the middle screen. With car play, iPhone, you cannot do this with google maps. Only Apple Maps when connected to car play.

Another way to tell them apart is the sound of the exhaust. I have a 2023 CT4V BW with the TR-6060 manual. The rev match makes the downshifts sound awesome and the no lift shift is a great feature along with launch control. This car gets! It pulls hard in every gear, so much fun to drive and it handles impeccably. Definitely a sleeper.

The 6.2 is really good on fuel your 100% wrong on fuel mileage my 6.2 gets better than 5.3’s all day long.

Get the ecu and tcm unlocked from tappout tuning tell scott i sent you and he’ll get you right 🤝🏽

Anyone doing performance parts for these cars?

It gets cold as shit here in Northern Alberta, and the only time I had to warm my AT4 to start it, it was -59c with the windchill. I had to put it in neutral and winch it into the garage with my Side by Side and turn on the heat. Took about 20 minutes before it started with the hood open.

Thats one of the worst engines ever made. Hope you get rid of it before the belts break. Good luck

That's crazy to think a car capable of 180mph+ top speed has a rear trunk spoiler that's just held on by 3m double sided tape... 😮 I'm a bit old school and dont trust that the 3m by itself can hold down the spoiler... but ain't like there's another choice...

Keep in mind that in future GM vehicles neither Android auto nor Apple carplay will work. GM has announced that they are discontinuing all support for those, because they are trying to milk more money out of you for subscriptions by locking you into their software. Send them a strong message, don't buy GM

Ford announced that they will continue to support Android auto. GM announced that they will not allow Android auto in their future vehicles. GM will not get my business. I already pay a subscription for my cellular data, I don't need a separate one for my truck. Yes Ford has some subscriptions, but my buying decision is based on whether I need any of those subscriptions. The Ford still does everything I need without any subscriptions, whereas the GM does not.

It is based on an onstar data plan. You can negotiate like I did with onstar and buy the unlimited data command plus all other features for 15$ a month. People will just have to skip eating fast food once a month to afford it... priorities, perhaps!

Hey man. Thanks for posting such a great educational video. Just grabbed a ‘24 Sierra AT4, and I want to be prepared for our Michigan winters. Is there an indicator in the vehicle to let you know when it’s plugged in? Something similar to what our phones show when charging? Sick truck man… Blessings to you and your loved ones.

The AT4X is way outside my budget...but how do the AT4 hold up with city driving (3.0 vs 5.3)? My commute is a maximum of 10 miles, but is 100% city. I do some highway driving time to time but primarily suburban USA. I currently own a 2023 Tundra (8,500 mi). I love the truck, but the premature engine failures have me concerned. Dealers aren't even accepting 22/23 trades because of the issue and toyota dealerships can't sell impacted inventory until their is a fix. I bought the extended warranty because i planned to have this 15 years but not if an engine blows!

Personally I'd just keep the black mirrors cuz it gives the whole window area the blacked out look. The cf is cool and all but that whole area now has an unmatched color scheme... but to each their own.
