Part 2 of this technical build features some of the challenges in trying to drop 38" tires into the front fenders and allow for over a foot of travel. See close up how I designed a custom tie rod, drag link, four link, and panhard bar. Included is the prosses of cutting out mounting brackets by hand using a cobra torch. Part 3 will show the frame restoration and a rolling chassis! Stay tuned.

What lift you do I own a second gen and cannot find one for it.
Absolutely electric. You can do amazing things with electric motors. You’ll have to build it yourself but you’ve got a year free so you’ve got time.

Any suspension changes or all stock?
I put levelling blocks under the front coils and longer shocks from sky jacker to accommodate them. To be truly level it would need to come up a bit more, because those coils were known to sag over time.
I love these 2gens your hard work definitely paid off looks good!
my thing is day it needs is some reworking/cleaning up that bumper. Push it forward about 2" so its not a flat smash look and to make the body lines clean to match the truck. Otherwise looks good.

Thanks man! It has a leveling kit on it, just remember to grab some shocks because of the extra height. I found some from skyjacker. I believe the tires are 305/45R 22.

Countless hours, yes a leveling kit. Factory they came exceptionally low on the 2wd models

@@chaseholmvik5666 It rides decent, I didn't notice a difference. Try new shocks meant for the levelling kit. I found some from skyjacker.
@@nighttraindiesel so here’s the thing I put new shocks in it and got a adapter to raise the shocks up so it would work with the leveling kit and it wasn’t different you think different shocks would help
I couldn’t ever sell that truck if I put that much work into it. Very nice truck!
