this is weird, a similar thing happened to me, the owl appeared on the left of the car and flew alongside it for a while, I wonder if they are expecting the car to disturb mammals.

Steve this was really fun to watch. Karen Rohlf's April preview led me here. Looks like we are on a similar path, you in the UK, me in the US. I host Karen Rohlf and Aimee Brimhall clinics. I know Inge has a similar perspective to Aimee. And then I remembered that you did that recent video of Aimee and some podcasts with DL. I have 2 mares that are lead and dominant, and the act very similar. My lead lags behind, the dominant wants to be in my lap, and my lead does some fantastic leaps.

TBH, it still rather surprises me to watch it over again, Lori! I knew immediately not to 'drill' Jo on this. In fact, I have NEVER repeated this. This was the third time we tried and it was the last. Why? Because, arrogant as it might sound, I kNOW that Jo would do it all over again for me tomorrow because it would feel fresh to her again. You have to know your own horse - and what motivates them, right? ;)

Steve..this is so strange. Sonja just asked me how I met you. I told her I think it was because I wrote to you about being impressed by a canter weave that Jo did when you were at the end of the arena. I went on youtube to look for it, and here it is because you had just resubmitted it. How crazy is that? It still impresses me as much today as it did then. So cool.

Hi akyramoto, I have not have a problem with 'mugging' for treats but it is a real possibility. I have also used treats to train my horses. You have to be particular about when and how they get rewarded. I like to pre-load my hand with a treat so that the horse/ donk does not learn to get fixated on your pocket or the noise of your hand going to your pocket.

do you find that he ever gets muggy for the treats? also do the horses get treated when you're working with them? just curious. been thinking about applying to some different methods with my donk. thanks for posting the vid!
