Yeah. Only mmo besides SW:ToR that managed to mesmerize me with it's story. And Fear Not This Night is one of the most beautiful osts.

Yep, still got an active playerbase and gets regular updates. Expecting the 2nd expansion near the end of this year.
Is it subscription based? I want to play MMO's again, I haven't played one since Lineage 2. I founded this one because of that beautiful theme, Fear not this night.
The game is buy-once. Currently, if you buy the game you get the first expansion as well, so you don't have to worry about having to spend extra to get access to the latest content. There's also a free-to-play option, but it's severely limited. Might not be a bad way to see if you like it tho ;)
