The Dusty Ballz 300 is an annual memorial event in memory of racing fanatic, Floyd (Dusty)Gunsell. Location is Eagle Park Fair Ground, Eagle, Michigan. The event is test and tune and grudge matches on a 300 foot dirt track.

Perkin's Mud Bog attacks again as it claims another victim(s), fortunately the occupants had the safety belts on and the roll bar held up. Everyone was ok. The Jeep was relatively nice upon the start, but we guessed at it's pre roll and after roll value. Hopefully the damage was more cosmetic than structural.

What sucks is that this was all avoidable with about 10 minutes of work. All he needed was some vents in the hood to let the air flow. Thats why the front went up in the air, the hood with no bents acted like a parachute, whereas the rear was all open and the air flowed freely, making the rear fall quicker than the front. Which results in a slap hit when you do land, and god they hurt.
If these are strictly sand, would a different kind of wheely bar work. Some kind of sled type design for less drag when it's touching the sand

We use to jump trucks all the time. We’d get them for a $3-400 bucks get them running then beat the hell out of them. It was a ton of fun. Why you would do that with your daily driver is beyond me.

Did this guy go bankrupt and fall off the face of the planet? I believe he was the owner of that B&L store that used to be next to the dunes. I never knew why they shut down. Probably from all the money this guy spent doing crap like this. Oh well, makes for memories i guess
No, Mike moved to Minnesota and bought an old paper mill. He was into the salvage business. He renovated the building and operates out of that now. I believe he was the regional destination for all those illegal VW Turbo diesels, a few years ago. I'm not sure if he was dealing with the government or VW, or both, but he told me he had an ocean of those cars there at his property. I'm not sure if he was servicing them or storing them for someone else. Dave Lattimore and Albert Bancroft owned B&L. Mike was sponsored by them. As I understand, Dave and Albert went their own way. Albert is in charge of a large global agricultural company called Agro that was based in St. Johns, Michigan and I believe Albert and Dave come from that area and had a prior history. As far as I know everybody is doing good.

I was told by somebody years back that the mike guy owned the b&l store but i guess clearly it was just an assumption made, i also had never been to silver lake or the store until after they had closed. @@MidnightRider1034 It would be pretty tough to top this video or situation, my little partner Bjorn from Next Hero and Mike, left my house and went to Pismo Beach Huckfest. It is a David and Goliath story, Bjorn's video did better than Monster Energy's video, and Mike won the Huckfest and beat out Monster's BJ Baldwin driver with an old $50,000 truck vs. a half million dollar ride that Baldwin has.
