Since all the freewheeling is accomplished by the freehub, that means swapping this fixed cog set-up for the stock freehub body will allow the rider to ride fixed on this trainer?
That is correct. The adapter makes the trainer a full fixed gear - replicating the track bike experience.
Can you convert a roadbike hub into a track hub using this?
Hey mate, pretty much all freehub spline we have come across are different. Even between models of the same brand of wheel or trainer the freehub spline changes. Due to this, it is almost impossible to identify what wheels and or trainers each adapter will fit prior to testing them.
