Hello, my name is Nicole Evora and I am traveling with my motorcycle through Europe and soon also through the world.
My BMW R1250GS “Peregrin” (from peregrinus - stranger, foreigner) accompanies me.
On my current trip I will take you from France through Spain to Morocco, then through Portugal, Northern Spain again through France and to the UK and Ireland and if everything works out I will go to the North Cape. I am doing this trip mainly to gain experience and improve my off-road skills.
I'm not a professional storyteller yet, I'm just taking you with me on my journey and I hope my videos aren't too chaotic. If you have any questions or requests about the videos, feel free to write me :)

Episode 12 - When the GPS no longer works - The FEZ Medina is quite a challenge Morocco solo Travel
I slowly make my way back to Tangier, but I wanted to visit the medina of FEZ first. Even if big cities aren't my cup of tea, it's something you should have seen. In addition to the tourist hustle and bustle, it's nice to see that craftsmanship is still practised today. But also the town outside the medina is really beautiful. I spent hours strolling through various alleyways. At some point, however, the tourist hustle and bustle ends, there are no more shops to be seen and the alleyways are almost pitch black. You only see locals whizzing through the alleyways who know exactly where to go. I stopped several times, looked at my mobile phone, no chance, the GPS can no longer get through here. Young men approach you and offer you navigation. However, I didn't want to take the offer and carried on. After about 30 minutes of unsuccessful searching for another route, I decided to turn back. I took the exact same route back which I had come. Fortunately, I had memorised the route.
Besides all the tumult, I naturally noticed quite a few cats again :( I have hardly seen a place in Morocco where the cats were worse off than in FEZ. However, I've already shown enough of them, which is why I'm not including any more in the videos.
All in all a good day, but the sleep was very short :) In FEZ a kind of call to prayer starts at 4.30am. The loudspeakers were right outside my window.

So there it was, the first day that I actively went off-roading on my own. I did ride quite a bit in Morocco but only in a group. I'm still far too insecure and slow on off-road tracks :D but that's why I do it. There's a big difference between simply following behind and actually riding alone :D When I see others riding at a certain speed, I know how fast I could go. On top of that, there were...
Episode 10 - Casablanca Contrasts of Big Citys - Solo Mototravel in Morocco

Morocco's cities always have two sides - while the tourist areas shine, the city just a few meters away looks completely different. Fun fact: The smallest donation for the grand Mosque was 5DH (less than 50 cent) On the way inland I mostly rode on gravel roads, which meant I made quite slow progress. However, the advantage was that I could drive through the construction sites :'D In other count...

I'm riding alone again, but the tour has left its mark on the bike, especially on the rear tyre, which I urgently need to replace. But finding a rear tyre in Morocco and then having it fitted is not that easy. But you can actually find everything in the capital - including an absolutely world-class workshop. After I finally made it to Agadir, I was able to take care of everything, for example l...

Was I a bit wrecked from the day before? Yes definitely... did I have self-doubt? Yes... that too! But that doesn't stop me from continuing :) and the fifth day was absolutely great. Speaking of great, the BMW R1250GS without luggage is a completely different machine. I had a blast and would ride this track again in a heartbeat. It was a very unusual feeling for a solo traveler to be on the road in a group, but I really enjoyed not having to plan anything but just following along. One thing is for sure, I would have never seen so many places in Morocco if I had explored it alone. Apart from many off-road passages that I wouldn't have driven alone, we had 3 people in the group who spoke Arabic, which makes a big differe...

I was finally able to enter Morocco, but the delay was noticeable and I only had two days before the planned tour. Originally I wanted to continue towards the Algerian border, but I only made it as far as Al Hoceima and then had to return to Tangier. But that's no reason to be sad :D The next few days will be great. I would have like to see the border region, as the border between Morocco and A...

Today I wanted to go to Morocco and according to Google Maps the ferries were supposed to leave at 4pm or 7pm. As it turned out later, there were far more times, but not all of them are visible on Google. I actually thought the route from Murcia to Alhaurin el Grande (later Marbella) would be shorter. I should have done more kilometers the day before, but I didn't get my bike back until around 7:30 pm. I really don't like driving on the highway, especially when I'm in a country for the first time. But was it the right decision? The trip to Morocco depends on whether I can find a place for my dro...

I finally travelled to Spain on day 3 of my trip and after the first 15 minutes in the country my opinion was confirmed: I love Spain. Hello and welcome to my channel. My name is Nicole (or Evora) and my goal is to travel the world on my motorcycle. As I am an absolute beginner, I decided to start with a tour through Europe (and Morocco) and learn what it means to be on the road for a long time on a motorcycle. I started in France (Grenoble) and on my way to Morocco, I want to visit Andorra, Spain and Gibraltar. After Morocco,...
We have spent three weeks in Morrocco, these situations happens, overall, an AWESOME country to discover, we absolutely loved. Most Morroccans are poor but will go long way to welcome you, to share the little they have, and yes, give some money in return, they will appreciate and use it at good use.
On my 4th visit to the medina in Marakesh, something strange occurred. I forgot my way around and I got disorientated and it took three and a half hours to get out!!.
@@oldmanvlogger9259 😮 that's a Lot.. I can imagine it very well ... it's so narrow and angled. I tried several times to find another way before I gave up.
@@travelwithevora I sat down for 30 minutes to calm, collect thoughts. In all, I was 5 minutes away from the main square!! Keep and Ride Safe.
Momentum is the key Just lean backwards on the back wheel Don’t slow down just gun it Great vids
@@davefearon1620 thanks 😄 yeah.. I tried but the sand slows you down. Need more throttle but I couldn't get it right 🥲

@@Angel-wo8gv 😅😅 yeah.. no coffee, no beer, no alcohol. I only need Coca Cola and Monster Energy 🤣
Now I got a good impression of Marokko especially Fes, great video, I enjoyed it very much, looking forward to your next steps 😊👍
Thanks 😊
Another amazing day. Don't feel disappointed about the canyon, you have to follow your instincts, you did the right thing I think. The landscapes you rode through are more like moonscapes 🙂. Stay safe.
Thank you 🙏🏼 ☺️
Wonderful scenery. One of the very interesting aspects of the videos is that the sound is original, the voice is natural, you can hear the motorbike engine and the ambient sound. There are no meaningless songs, which is fantastic 🙂.
Thank you very much 😊
Wow 30 degrees in bike gear I think I would have given up. Interesting place.
Impressed you had cat food. Nice hotel too.
If I see lots of cats I end up buying cat food 😅😅
What you are doing is really hard. Please don't be disheartened. I follow Itchy Boots, Marc Travels, Freddie Dobbs and Million Dollar Bogan who have all been at this a lot longer than yourself. Perhaps I am spoilet by the experience of these 'old hands' at this caper. I think the key is speak to the camera as if it was, a close friend, standing there with you. Then it becomes real for the viewer. I'm not an expert but this is how I approach public speaking .. and I'm no expert! Good luck and keep going! ..Rod. 🙂👍
@@rododoherty1177 thank you 😊 learning by doing 😌 that's what this trip is for.. Hope I'll know it all for season two Next year :)
Yet another great update, Morroco is such a beautiful country, safe travels wherever you are.
@@davidz8 thank you 😊
Nicole, Forgive me for saying this, but your audio when speaking is sometimes a bit hard to understand. Needs to be much more crisp, deliberate and clear. Not a harsh criticism as I really like your videos, but meant to be constructive. 🙂 Really looking forward to your video of Ireland as this us where I live. Best wishes... Rod.
Hi Rod, Thank you for your feedback 🙂 I try my best.. Sound quality, as well as speaking "with myself" are the most difficult parts 🥲 still struggling with that. I hope I can improve it .. for example in the helmet: I tried different positions of the microphone, tested it, it was good.. checked the videos two weeks later.. not that good .. so it's kind of a back and forth .. checking one or two clips won't give you the same feedback editing does 🥲 Best wishes
Thanks for letting me ride along on you trip. It amazes me that everything appears to be one color ,a shade of sandstone beige. The culture is so different than here is the U.S. Your selfies, are good to give a different perspective as you ride, also thank you for increasing the size of the font on your screen commentary. Your videos are very good thanks for sharing
Thank you very much :) Yeah the differences are huge.. I Hope I can go to the US one day :)
Itchy Boots better come back soon she has new competition !
Thanks 🙏🏼 😅 in two years I might be able to compete 😆
Always look forward to your uploads.. Thank you very much 😊 yeah 😅 but to be fair .. only tourists ride these bikes there
well done ~(again). I always enjoy your updates
Thank you 😊😊
Amazing how the scenery can change so much and a modern city to time warp back hundreds of years. I bet the smells are amazing.
As long as no fish was being sold, it didn't really smell of anything special
@@travelwithevora I don't like fish, especially smelly fish :-)
You're doing fine. Just do what you're comfortable with👍.
Thank you :)
It is so hard to leave animals that appear to be in such bad situations. All you can do really is what you did...feed them and hope that it helps them have a bit better chance of being ok.

Hi Evora, Following your trip from home here on the Isle of Wight (UK) - awesome!! The GS looks a bit of a handfull in the sand and I don't think my 71 year old nerves would do well on the high mountain gravel roads on my Tiger 900 GT. I think you're doing right, sometimes just passing by sometimes giving a small amount depending on the situation. Good idea, but 20% is way too high
😂20%!!! Where did you get that figure from? In this day and age,how many people do you really honestly think could afford to give away 20% of their income. Riding alone is demanding. It would be unacceptable if you would have crash and be hurt. Therefore you have to be extra careful, especially with a heavy bike.
