Hotel Armed Robbery on 7/24/23
The Gainesville Police Department is requesting assistance identifying the persons of interest in the following videos. These individuals were involved in an armed robbery on July 24, 2023, at a hotel located on SW 13th St. One of the victims in this case sustained a severe injury. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact GPD Detective W. Williams at 352-393-7681 or can remain anonymous by contacting the Alachua County Crime Stoppers at 352-372-7867.

Glen Springs School Resource Officer Michael Myers was on the receiving end of several pie tosses this afternoon. He volunteered to be their target if they met fundraising goals for the school's Booster-thon where kids walked laps for donations. In the end, Myers discovered that it's a lot more fun to eat pie than wear it!

Just imagine how different this story might have been, had a 'not so great' officer responded the first time. This man should be held aloft as the perfect example of how to get community policing right. As for Shaq.....Shaq's ding what Shaq does best, making kids dreams come true and showing them they can choose a better life.

There was one where a teenager had to given a steroid to induce him to Puberty . He had the same shoe size as Shaq at 15 (?). Shaq sent him a pair of his shoes.
And these kids have all of this to thank for the guy who called the police and complained that the kids were playing basketball too loudly on the street.^^

Best cop ever rite there..its the prix out there that make his job so dangerous....i think god for the good cops out here...i used to hate all cops until i grew up and understood whats going on.
