This is the weakest point I the car.i have a quote for 12 000 eur to replace the battery bas and dc/DC converter. The DC to DC failed and I turn damaged the battery and bas.very common on the cars.what a shame

Audi quit screwing people out of not being able to get an intake for the 2009 to 2011 audi s6 v10. That was a 104 plus thousand dollar car back then . My dad owned the car now i do at 72k the flapps break com on those were known to break from 60k to 80k for the price of that car it should of been a recall. Then the intake use to be 1800$ for on now its 4k if you can even get one. Many people own this car and have ones that are mint. Not being able to get one or paying 5 times the mark up is insane. That should of been recalled in the first place. It can suck broken Pieces in and destroy the engine. I will never consider getting a second newer one if this dont stop. There is no reason why these shoukd be astronomically high and there should be no reason why pierburg cant make them anymore. Many owners are frustrated. Many are still original owners.

People are missing one important part here.. "IT ALWAYS SETS OFF IN AWD". You're not going to spin the tyres up like a Haldex waiting for the clutch to engage power to the rear. If you then brake hard and turn in hard the car senses you're driving hard and keep the system engaged. You can't fool it, it's always half a second in front of you and you need to really calm down (like driving straight for a while at partial throttle) before it disconnects the drive to save power. The static bias is 50/50 like early Quattro due to it being a clutch pack driven system but it can apportion up to 85% to either axle depending on how you're driving. It's not Haldex not even close.. all Haldex can do is engage the rear wheels when the front slips on a front wheel drive car, this isn't the same. This is an AWD system that can disengage when it sees calm steady state driving. Plus it has the "off-road" mode which basically forces the system to lock up and stay locked, where you have static 50/50 with 85/15 or 15/85 max torque bias in either direction. Just put it in off road mode if you're doing any kind of performance driving then it's basically the same as BMW xDrive or Mercedes 4matic. I also guarantee you when the after market breaks into the code you will be able to fix it at 85% rear bias (like drift mode in BMW M5). Don't be so foolish to think this is a bad system, it isn't. But it also isn't Torsen Quattro, it's very different.
