The pedal by your right foot is the throttle…try using it….its way more fun.
can your same battery fly with a esc that can recive 35A for maximum and 45 for 5 seconds?
what battery did you use?
Run a VRS 850 on it
will it still work if i use the br2207s 2500kv moters they have em with a bundle of 4 for 50$ which is half the price
Yeah just not as peppy
4:06 shows how fast it can go
Sweet boat bro! A suggestion, take or leave it. Raise that alternator up. If for some reason your boat takes on water it'll give you alittle more time
I dismantled my Hero 7 black without heating the front cover; just minimal damage.
It's probably had a screen replacement in the past in that case
@@daveefordays nope.
Hey man great vid. What kind of glue did you use to put it back together?
I just used thin double sided tape, not waterproof but makes it easy to fix it you break it again
Show some pictures of the bottom modification???enjoy the blower cam loop.
Put gps
Thanks! I replaced my screen successfully. A few notes I'd find helpful: 1. It's quite easy to remove front cover without damaging it by using thin plastic triangle tool and some patience to pry around bit by bit and there's no need for hot air. 2. To remove battery compartment you need to unscrew one screw closer to the side wall and then pry off double sided sticky tape glue from the bottom which was quite strong 3. To remove the screen I used 200C hot air at full air flow. It softens glue enough and doesn't burn or melt any surrounding plastic/rubber. Had to brake the screen and chip around to remove glue. At the end you can push whole screen from behind 4. I used T-7000 glue for the screen to have some water proofing, but not sure how the front cover goes, didn't use any extra glue because there was double sided tape but not very sticky (holds well tho) but I wouldn't trust it with water proofing Sidenote: Speakers won't work if you haven't joined two halves because there are latch contacts on the sides of case
what sort of range ya getting there mate
900mhz so a few k
The link no longer works unfortunately. Anyone have a new one?
Just search hero 5 6 7 replacement lcd on aliexpress 😊
Wait... Aussie Dollars?
It was USD sorry haha. Plus this was a couple years ago, things have changed a little now.
@@daveefordays Yes I looked at the site you linked. I see that it's a bit of an investment to get everything needed to start out. It looks fun though
@elandashing1814 yeah a remote and goggles and charger is what adds up
@@daveefordays do you have a suggestion or a video about a complete kit for the lowest price?
@elandashing1814 there is a lot to understand. Your best bet is to go to the intofpv forum and read and learn about what people are using currently, and maybe make a post stating what you want to use it for and ask for help. The people on intofpv are wonderful, and I used to be very active on there before life changed a lot. They would all know me as bffigjam if you mention it in your post.
I’m just getting into FPV drones and was wondering where I could get FPV goggle for a good price and still get good quality? Also best of luck for getting to 1k I wanna be there for it!!!
What all did you use to build that ?
Nice work. Do you have details of your build anywhere? A mate is about to tackle this. Engine is mounted, loom is next and radiator. Did you keep the EJ or stock radiator?
Don't really have any documentation sorry, used the stock radiator, did a lot of custom stiff like in tank pump. Where are you located? This one might be up for sale soon
@@daveefordays Newcastle NSW. Thanks for detail. Did you have any issues with overheating with the stock radiator?
@@exup250 Not really, you do have to look at some airflow modifications and use 2x really good electric fans though. I don't normally run a grille on mine and it helps heaps, and since upgrading to the mishimoto slim 10" fans it's been really good. The only time it really has an issue is when driving along the beach in really soft sand at 30 or 40 kph with the AC on when the ambient temp is over 30C.. Turning the AC off lets it run cool again so no big issue. I would use a BRZ radiator if you want to upgrade. They fit better than a EJ radiator.
@@daveefordays Thank you. I'll pass that on. I hadn't read about anyone using BRZ, was either EJ22 from liberty, or a custom. I'll look into it. If you're willing before you sell it (or perhaps as an add for you selling it, a walk around of what you have done would be cool :)
@@exup250 There's also a nissan pulsar radiator that works too, N52 I think? I would love to make a few videos with it - have one i've been editing for 3 years at this point - it's a trip we did to fraser in the car before covid hit.
Would you say the gopro is still waterproof after your replacement? Thanks for the video!
If you epoxy the new screen in and the new front cover on it should be waterproof, but I wouldn't do this. Instead just purchase a dive housing for the camera.
Yooooo that’s my grandpas old boat!!
There is no way you built that for $150. The motors are $18 each, the FC stack is $93, that's $165 right there.
You have to keep in mind I built this 3 years ago and the prices of everything have doubled due to pandemic
my GoPro hero 7 shutter button is broken using salt water it is possible that I can change the shutter button ribbon?
i have a question if my gopro 7 shutter button is broke soo what I should to do for fixed this
You need to use isopropyl alcohol while taking the front cover off. It makes it a lot easier and does not require a replacement cover
This is great and all. But for beginners it doesnt help explain how to build and what camera you use how to mount and what goggles? And how to connect?
Hi. Just want to know. Will the gopro stay waterproof after changed the LCD?
If you just use adhesive to stick it back on then it won't be waterproof anymore, even if you did glue it I wouldn't trust it. You can get a dive housing for the gopro for pretty cheap and just put it in that when you go in the water
@@daveefordays I see… thanks a lot
lol
Nice video and clear math 👍 what would happen if you hade alot of baldes on the prop?
More prop blades tends to lower top speed and improve cornering handling as there is more drag but more bite.
Hello, how much did the goggles cost and what brand & model are they also what's the distance of them? Thanks, George
Hi they are flysight falcon FG01, they are a bit old now, I would look into the DJI FPV system
Can you give me all the info on where you got all the parts to build this drone and what googles and controller I should get.
Really hard to see even when in one place
What was the original muffler you put on
Hi, do you mean the one that was on there already at the start? It was the factory one that came on the car
Sorry I should have clarified, what was the new muffler you added on?
i cant find the screen can you please send me a trusted link ?
Love the attention to detail on the engine build. Jet boat was a bonus, especially since I am here in Lewiston, Idaho.
Hopefully will have some new videos of the jetboat in early 2023. We are in australia and there aren't actually many jet drag boats around
Where can I buy one?
sadly this video is now 3 years old so a lot of the parts aren't available or are more expensive now - You can probably build something similar for around $250
can you do an updated version please bc a lot of the links arent working for me?
I would love to but im not really working with any of my drone company affiliates anymore sadly. I will look into doing another build like this in 2023 maybe
What's the heat gun that you use?
It's a yihua brand hot air station
Would make a good fishing boat
Trolling lures would be fun
@@daveefordays i know forsure if I fall into money I will troll the shore with a setup like this, cam could even set the hook forya
@@GreenBeamGlockCassarole it doesn't even matter that you won't catch anything because the fish will be far far away ahahaha
@@daveefordays I imagine at that point I won’t be fishing to catch fish ;)
3:44 when he armed the quad it said "Shit, it's about to get real." Lmfao.
this is part of the additional sound pack that can be downloaded for opentx called Amber
Beautiful Rat good job
That dog was like 'what the fuck was that'..lol
Hahahaha
All these types of boats are totally..."useless and stupid." Obviously an example of..."to each their own."
This boat is specifically built for quarter mile drag racing, in this video we were just doing some testing. If you think that, then you must think the same about any car built specifically for quarter mile drag racing?
46,000+ views and only 700 likes? That's under 2% of the viewers thumbing it up. The video seemed good to me. What's with everybody else?
Who knows??? People will be people :D
Totally useless boats...unless you are an "immature macho punk" "Punk boats!" ...man-up and get a real boat!
you should change your title. it cant be built for that price, will be over $200
If you look at the date of posting the price is accurate for then. Obviously prices go up when you have a global pandemic.
@@daveefordays that’s why I said change the title so it reflects on todays price. I must be the only one who updates my titles I guess
Hello brother, I can come to me with Motor Brisles. I want to make helicoptar dron, but I don't have the pieces. You can bring me the pieces
i know my 250 rd i built 8 years has to go over 60 on 3s...
Most Likely!
Man what would you charge me to build me one. Im not a builder but I can fly the heck out of them. Building one Is bove my brane grade to much to remember HaHa. Let me know.
Depends where you are in the world. If youre not in Australia i probably cant help
hello, great video, you could put the links of the propellers, and specify the flight times. 👍
The propellors are Gemfan Hulkie 5055S, you should be able to find them at a local drone store or online. The flight times depend on the quality of the battery and how spirited your flying is. I would say from 2 minutes to maybe 8 minutes. This thing is built for speed and speed alone
thank you for reckoning me this
