What have I done? Lambo doors on a salvage titled monte carlo?
zhlédnutí 122Před rokem
2000 something monte carlo with "universal" lambo door kit. Kinda fun with roughly 10 hours of fabrication on the first set. I think it needs stronger struts then the ones it supplied and you have to fabricate your own mounts. less than $300 on Amazon

Shout out to @PuddinsFabShop for a little inspiration and direction on doing the weber swap on these minis. just toss that old stock carb and get ya a weber boys. this one was a great clean donor carb, it probably didn't even need a rebuild as it was in 9/10 condition.

Nice set up, If you don’t mind me asking, do you have a part number for the carburetor? I have a 82 S10 same motor. Thanks.

I bought used and rebuilt it myself (its very easy to do), this carb is a weber 32/26 (dgav)with electric choke. Brand new, they are just shy of 400 dollars typically, but I got this for 100 and spent 30 on a basic rebuild kit. When I bought it, the carb was very clean, but I used the opportunity to learn about it since I'd be tearing it down then reassembling

What adapter plate did you use for the install

I’m digging it. It’s taking me back to HS. The biggest dude in our school drove one like yours. Have you considered a full floor from a donor bed as the false floor?

How tight was your belt mine was a nightmare I had to use a gates belt gates tensioner and I used dayco for idler pulley. I checked the size of pulleys all the same, but the belt felt like an inch to short

Mine was very tight as well, but I managed to get it on. I used dayco for belt and tensioner

Amazon special. I think it was about 230-250 and was "universal", meaning you have to cut up the car a little and weld plates here and there. This was my first one and I have about 8 or 9 hours tied up in one door
