Semiquavers ( Sixteenth Notes ) in Simple and Compound Time Signatures - Music Theory Lesson N 23
Today the 23rd Music Theory Lesson regarding Semiquavers ( Sixteenth Notes ) in Simple and Compound Time Signatures.
You will learn and understand how to consider a Semiquaver ( sixteenth or 16th note ) in a Simple Time ( 2/4, 3/4 or 4/4 ) and in a Compound Time Signature ( 3/8, 6/8, 9/8 or 12/8 ) and which rule it has in the two different cases: in the first case it has to be intended as a quarter of beat / count, in the second case as half beat / count, but you will understand everything properly if you watch the entire tutorial up to the end.

    • @PianoLessonstoGo
      @PianoLessonstoGo Před 3 měsíci

      Who told you? The treble clef is the G clef and in all the well made theory books of the past you would read that the drawning of the clef should start exactly from the second line, where indeed the G is! Then if you prefer to start it from the bottom, left, top … feel free to do it, but don’t say that it is wrong!

    • @msw1174
      @msw1174 Před 3 měsíci

      @@PianoLessonstoGo down you can see a dark dot...that's a starting point and ends in G.......how do u write f clef? Will you start from second line or starting froM F?

    • @PianoLessonstoGo
      @PianoLessonstoGo Před 3 měsíci

      @@msw1174 if you like to write it in that way, you can. You started your comment to my video “WRONG”! I repeat that for centuries the treble clef has been drawn in my way in all the western counties writing from left to right! If you want to start from the bottom, just do it! Nobody will tell you off for that because I know that today there are people writing it in the way you say! But what’s the problem! It is a way, what it’s important at the end is that you draw the treble clef ( that today is even drawn automatically by music softwares !!! ). We don’t go to people living in countries writing from right to left saying that their way of writing is wrong. All the civilisations follow the direction of the Sun: some writes from left to right, some from right to left… some from top to bottom … You talk also about the Bass clef! Yes, I am a composer with almost 40 years of experience and I have always drawn the Bass clef starting from the left, from around the 4th line! You are focusing your attention on a detail that doesn’t deserve anymore all this time. What I do is based on knowledge and logic, but it doesn’t mean that you have to do in the way I say ( that anyways is followed by billions of musicians ): you can do it in whichever way you like and want. Plus this tutorial has the intention of guiding young students in need of a guidance. I gave my guidance according to the knowledge I have and we are taking about a knowledge that started about 40 years ago! Happy music !!!
