That's mad, here in the UK you would have to be driving well north of 100 MPH (in a 70 MPH limit) to go to jail it actually makes the national news when it happens. That's not to say there are no penalties. You could be banned from driving for a year and or made to resit your test and a huge fine but jail is unlikely. If you caused an accident or someone is badly injured or killed while speeding then all bets are off you'll be spending some time at HM's pleasure.

I talked to a young man in a Giant food store parking lot that had one of these. Finished just in these colors too. That BMW NineT was one of the most beautifully finished motorcycles I have ever seen. Just a real treat on the eyes. I would have been proud to own that bike. Just for what it looked like. BMW really knocked it out of the park on the style of that bike. To have it sound this great is a bonus. With a motor like that, you can enjoy how slow you are going, lol, and keep the cops away. Fun video.

Your video is exactly why I do not need a BMW S1000R. You will come around a corner, right into a Virginia County Mounty, running radar in his or her cruiser, and you will be going forty over because that great bike makes that so easy. INSTANT jail time. The only place you can enjoy that bike is on a track. Getting a cruiser bike that encourages you to cruise and not speed is a option but cruiser bikes fly too. Lawyers are a $1000 an hour and the fines are hundreds of dollars as well as the high-risk insurance ( FOR YEARS) after the offense fine is paid, and jail time are served, is thousands of dollars. All because thirty seconds of riding that fantastic motorcycle were so fun. All of this is why I sold my second KZ550 and walked away from motorcycling for good, decades ago. I know me. and just driving a car is hard to stay in the posted speed limit. On a bike that fast, for me, (just like you) it's impossible and I don't want to go to jail. The entire last half of this video, you went to jail in Virginia about twenty times. You just got lucky a cop was not coming the other way. Your luck will run out and you will go to jail. Save up your money for the lawyers and the uber rides you will need to get around. Or sell that bike. It's not worth going to jail for. The police and especially the judges in Virginia do not fuck around. Stafford County, Fredericksburg City, Spotsylvania County. Prince William County, Fairfax County, King George County, they all work together, and they love catching a speeder across county lines. There are no county lines in Virginia except when they catch you and charge you in every damn county. The best move is to sell the bike if you know you are going to speed because if you don't jail time is coming = guaranteed. The judges in Virginia HATE speeders. They view you just like you already killed an innocent family in a car because that's what they've seen from DUI drivers and speeders as well. Believe me, I'm no angel but I know my limits. That's why a 2023 Yamaha MT-09 is NOT in my driveway right now. But damn, is that a nice motorcycle. Good luck, young man. Sell that bike, before you go to jail.

I own the exact same bike you are riding in titanium smoke. Im loving it. Im gonna upgrade the shocks eventually to the FOX adjustables that come on the new Sport Chief and if possible the Brembos. Congrats on both your babies. Lol.

i got a reckless speeding ticket in east va for going 68 lmao... the zone goes from 55 to 45 for like 2 blocks and back up and got stopped for 68mph... had to go to court and everything. fucking stupid

That’s crazy. Out here in Los Angeles, it’s assumed you’ll go 15 to 20 over the limit. That makes up for the 90% of the time you’re going 15 to 20 below the limit because of congestion. I recently got caught doing 70 in a 35, got pulled over by a moto cop, chatted him up a bit, and got off with a warning.
