'Black 5' - 44932 @ Cradley Heath - 10th September 2024
The almost perfect storm (literally) of a downpour and a 172 unit doing it's upmost to get in the way....the things we do to amuse ourselves !
In the end, it's not too bad, in the case could certainly have been a whole lot worse..
'Black 5' 44932 with support coach 80204 on the 5Z67 Carnforth Steamtown to Kidderminster SVR through Cradley Heath on 10th September 2024...the Black 5 heading to SVR for the Autumn Steam Gala (which scarily, is next week...)

Bit of a close shave this one - had the local service running ahead of the HST set, not been held at Stourbridge for ages, all would have been fine...as it was I think I got away with it (just about). Went over to Barnt Green to see 37884 on a stock move - it was however 70 minutes late, which gave the chance to film some units (I know...) There are now only a couple of Cross City diagrams using the 323 sets, so mostly everything now uses 730 #class170 #class196 #class323 #class730

What is sadly, these days, quite a rare hour or so out with Sharpo to see D1015 on a very late running railtour...whilst waiting on the footbridge at Kidderminster, BR Standard 4MT No 75069 arrived, ran round and departed on a SVR service train....
