One of my favorite Sembello songs, I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere on the net so I attempted to write them. I've always believed that Michael likely wrote this song for the "Cocoon" soundtrack, but they ultimately went with "Gravity" because of the darker themes. I interpret the song as an elderly person being placed into an assisted living / elderly Care facility, where the marketing paints the facility as "Shangri-La", A beautiful place to live out there golden years. But ultimately they lose their autonomy, independence, And are over medicated to keep them under control. The drums and horns are bright and deep...but on the improv...the guitar with fx literally speak on a duet with Mark. Amazing Sound and Groove.
