@nickjgriff just to let you know one of Colin McRae's first rally cars was a Nova and look how far he went also newly crowned BRC champion and 3x SRC champion David Bogie his first rally car was a Nova. And many more rally champions have had Nova's

Nice vid mate! Even better driving! Sounds great!! What upgrades have you done to your suspension like have you got uprated wishbones and antiroll bars? I've enterd myself for my first rally in march, I have a 1990 nova base model I have seam welded the chassi put adjustable apex shocks and stiffer springs and put a c20ne engine into it with twin 45 Ida webber carbs. Is there any more advice you can give so hopefully it will get me through my 1st stage Any help would be great thanks. Keep

@croc106 plenty of people do, probably behind your back more than you know. the term tankslapping started on bikes from the handlebars hitiing the tank, but a car can do the same thing only the steering wheel moves from left to right and no funnily enough it doesnt bang on the fuel tank but the term is all the same. anyone knows that apart from mr loeb up there

Sounds like a bill falcnor built engine, im currently rallyn a 1400 8v nova on twin 40s but dis nova luks a bit quicker

To be quite fair..the cavalier would be quicker in a straight line...but cos the course is fairly twisty..a small front wheel drive car would be much more nimble and therefore quicker....also...hes a rally driver..im guessing you are not..so its 2-0 to the nova

Think about it, 140BHP, Traction control and ABS... It'd be close either way... I think :P 0-60 on my car is 8 seconds.... Think about power to weight etc...

Would like to take my X20XEV Cavalier CDX round that... I reckon I'd do a better time.
