Oud Progress - 6 months

My oud progress after 6 month of regular practice. I included some practice and songs from the course. I found an oud teacher in my city and have had 10 lessons so far. He has helped me with understanding bass strings, connecting melodies, getting a better sound from my oud and ornamentation. I am still following the online oud course by Tareq Al Jundi on Udemy - part 2 now.

Is 'oud not a lute?

You have a gr8 teacher, I miss Yuval since he moved down there, we used to jam sometimes, when he came over to Nimbin from Byron to teach Darbuka. Is that your oud? Cheers from a fellow Oudist, although I'm currently Oud-less, (the head broke off), but I do have a Cümbüş now at least. All the best, Steve.

Thanks Nael! I started with Tareq Al Jundi on udemy, but I also had lesson with a local teacher which helped a lot ! If I can do it you can too!

I'm guessing youve had prior experience with other instruments. Im thinking the guitar maybe 🤷♂ was the piece you were playing called Allahu Allah in maqam hijaz? or maybe its another song
