@jasongoughuk cheers, I normally start in sport to warm the tyres before using track mode as it allows more slip but the traction control doesn't interfere much so often end up leaving in sport to be honest.

@user-jx3vk9xy4d cheers, I use Harry's Lap Timer app on my phone to record and an external GPS sensor. Can also add an OBD Reader to add engine data but I don't always connect it, would definitely recommend the app!

@dale1979325 thanks, the discs do seem to be wearing quicker than I'd like with micro cracks around the drilled holes but I don't think it needs a big brake kit so I'm looking to find alternative discs without the drilled holes.

@@jp__fox For sure a great achievement! I was no-where near that in my 30 year old Esprit! I'd be closer in my Exige V6, but I don't know the track anywhere near as well as you :)

Haha not only am I taking it a bit easier to follow my friend in the megane and that I lifted off when they did, the Mazda is LS V8 swapped and running big power...

We will let you off, Mazda is a stock LS3 and the clutch was playing up. What is the claimed power on your Emira?@@jp__fox

@mikeprzyrembel haha the Emira is meant to be 400bhp (when I fully press the pedal) and I'm guessing it's a fair bit heavier than the Mazda? It may not be the fastest thing on track but for me, its a great balance between road and track 😁

I think it's because I've got the camera mounted to the glass bulkhead so it's very close to the supercharger, you can here it more in the video than I can in the car. 👍

It's a great circuit! Takes a bit of getting used to but flows really nicely! I'm not sure on exact temp but it was big coat weather, I think it was under 10 degrees c and I was on Cup 2's.

Cheers, completely agree that the NC is so much car for the money, it's great fun! I actually found I was having more fun in my MX5 than I was in the M4 that I had at the same time!

Cheers, it's a 6 speed gearbox with the dif from a 5 speed car that has a shorter ratio for better acceleration 👍

@@jp__fox What upgrade did you do to the rear differential?

@lucasanti3542 fitted the one from a 2.0 5 speed MX5 as it has a shorter ratio so provides the best combination for track use.

@@jp__fox it is free, while the 6mt rear has differential lock

@lucasanti3542 in the UK, 2.0 5 speed and 2.0 6 speed both have differential lock 👍

Cheers, the footage had it at 1:57.1 so pretty pleased with that considering the day started with snow all over the track and the car has only had pads and fluid 👍

Thanks, it was good to finally meet you. Corner speeds can be a little jumpy on the tighter hairpins etc but faster corners are a bit better so looks about right 👍

580kg? Maybe compared to an S1... would it be quicker round the ring? Maybe... would it be cramped, noisey and uncomfortable for the rest of the Europe trip? Definitely 🤣 Sorry I may not be a Lotus purist but the Emira is so much more usable and I'd make the same call again, every day of the week 😁

@@jp__fox The S1 was 680kg wet, the S2 Exige was 810kg wet....S3 Exige is 972kg wet. These are actual weight with 1/4 tank on Gov calibrated scales

@RobertRedford77 if you've found some scales that say a standard S3 Exige with the V6 still in it is under 1000kg, I think you've found yourself some broken scales... can I borrow them to weigh my 1200kg Emira? 😁

@@jp__fox They are UK calibrated. I do have a lot of extra non factory carbon. Airbox removed which weight 26kg.......

@RobertRedford77 Which model have you got and what do you think it weighs standard? You can add all the carbon you want, lotus doesn't claim under 1100kg wet for any of the V6 exiges so unless you've taken the engine out, the scales are wrong 🤷‍♂️

Are you kidding? For car sold as being a pure sport car being teack oriented, a +8 min and the Nurburgring BTG lap is really bad! I don t know what is the official full lap with the Emira but I hope it is around 7min30...that s disappointing.

@@giovannidelucia3730 well. m2 is cheaper and did sub 7:40, but that car is equipped with cup2 tires and only one driver. I'm curious how quick emira would be with cup2 and one driver.
