Moses first advent prophecies are fulfilled. 1. All of Moses first Advent prophecies had eyewitnesses who confirmed that the prophetic set apart days were fulfilled on their appointed days. Below are the eyewitnesses for the spring and summer appointed days fulfilled by Christ. A. Passover- More than three of Jesus followers witnessed his crucifixion. B. Unleavened bread- More than three of Jesus followers witnessed his burial in the garden. C. First fruits- More than three of Jesus followers witnessed his resurrection. D. Last day of Unleavened Bread- More than three of Jesus disciples witnessed him sending them on the Great Commission from a mountain in Galilee.(Matthew 28:16-20) E. Pentecost- More than three of Jesus followers witnessed the holy spirit hovering over them like tongues of fire. Moses second advent prophecies are currently unfulfilled. A. Feast of Trumpets- Currently there are no followers of Jesus who are eyewitnesses to the fulfillment of this day prophesied by Moses. B. Day of Atonement- Currently there are no followers of Jesus who are eyewitnesses to the fulfillment of this day prophesied by Moses. History shows that there are 100,000 Millerite followers of Jesus who said that nothing happened on October 22, 1844. This satisfies the biblical requirement that every matter be established on the testimony of two or three eyewitnesses witnesses. C. Tabernacles- Currently there are no followers of Jesus who are eyewitnesses to the fulfillment of the first day of tabernacles or the eighth day of tabernacles as prophesied by Moses. In conclusion, Moses prophesies of the first and second advent must be fulfilled on their exact days with visual evidence. God was never late fulfilling any of the exact set apart dates that Moses gave the children of Israel in the annual set apart days. If you test everything that I've given you, you will see the undeniable facts that stand against the Millerite movement as a whole. Jesus warned us about false prophets in the last days and William Miller fits the bill without a doubt. If I'm wrong about any of what I've wrote you, please point it out to me. Until then you must establish any claims of fulfilled prophecy with the testimony of two or three eyewitnesses. Shalom and God bless you my dear friends in Christ. #ReturnToTorah #TestEveryThings
WILLIAM MILLER IS A GENTLEMAN FARMER TORMENTED BY THE QUESTION OF WHY HE SURVIVED THE BATTLE OF PLATTSBURG. SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS, HE IGNORES THE MISGIVINGS AND JEERS OF FRIENDS TO SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES WHERE HE FINDS A FRIEND IN JESUS. He studies prophecy and privately develops a conviction that Christ’s Second Coming will take place in 1843. He is reluctant to share his findings with the public but is persuaded by his wife to tell others. Miller begins preaching the message of Christ’s imminent return and some believe, many reject his words. Influential Boston-based preacher, Joshua Himes joins the Millerite and pushes Miller to expand the reach of his preaching with tours of the Northeast region of the United States and through the use of the printing press. The growing Millerite movement attracts the dedication and financial resources of future leaders like retired sea captain Joseph Bates. Thousands believe Miller’s preaching and although Christ does not return in 1843, Miller endorses the findings of other Adventists who claim Jesus will return on October 22, 1844. Miller and his followers are devastated by the Great Disappointment of 1844 when Jesus does not return to earth. Thousands staked their reputations and resources on their beliefs and the bitter reality was too hard for some to bear. The aging Miller was utterly devastated about being wrong about what took place in 1844. However, his work inspired further study by people who continued to believe in a soon Second Coming, and eventually embraced the truth of the seventh-day Sabbath.
Miller believed this to refer to the Second Coming, interpreting the earth to be the sanctuary. He preached fervently about the nearness of this Second Coming, which inspired many to take stock of their lives and focus on Bible study. He gained many followers who took his theories as literal predictions and eventually a date was set: October 22, 1844. Obviously, however, the literal Second Coming of Christ did not happen by October 22, 1844. Miller’s followers, then called “Millerites,” were devastated. That day became known as “The Great Disappointment.” What Happened in 1844 Early Advent believers said the second angel’s message was fulfilled when thousands of people left their churches in 1844 to join the Advent movement. The third angel’s message was understood later as a call for people to observe the seventh-day Sabbath. The three angels’ messages form the foundation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and are reflected in the name of the denomination. The spirits of early Advent believers got a welcome boost about two months after the Great Disappointment when Ellen Harmon, then 17, had her first vision in December 1844. In the vision, she saw Jesus leading a group of people along a difficult path to the New Jerusalem, as well as a portrayal of Jesus’ Second Coming. Early believers understood that the vision meant heaven would be attained by those who remained faithful despite their current despair. Ellen White later wrote that even though the Advent believers had suffered for months after the Great Disappointment, their pain was nothing compared to that of the disciples when Jesus was crucified. “Our disappointment was not so great as that of the disciples,” she wrote in Signs of the Times magazine in 1876. “When the Son of man rode triumphantly into Jerusalem they expected Him to be crowned king. … Yet in a few days these very disciples saw their beloved Master, whom they believed would reign on David’s throne, stretched upon the cruel cross above the mocking, taunting Pharisees.” But some of the believers from the Great Disappointment lived in despair for decades. Among them were two relatives, Benjamin Franklin Craig, who only heard about the three angels’ messages 25 years later in Adel, Iowa, and John M. Robb, who heard them 30 years later in Kansas, said their great-great grandson Stanley Hickerson. “For all these years they suffered uncertainty about what really happened in 1844, and found peace when they finally understood the ministry of Christ in the Most Holy place and its relation to the Sabbath truth,” said Hickerson, an editor at the Center for Adventist Research at Andrews University. Hickerson said the only story that his family had to share from the Great Disappointment centered on the relief and peace that came years later when the event was finally explained from the Bible. “Thus the significance for me of the Great Disappointment lies not in the disappointment but rather in the explanation,” he said. “Some struggle with the value of the doctrine of Christ in the sanctuary, but for my family it represents the solution to a decade-old inexplicable disappointment.” THE WHITES: The earliest known photo of James and Ellen White in 1857, 11 years after a marriage that had its roots in the Great Disappointment.
