I just made it here in the USA with Golden Curry blocks as the ingredient with rice, chicken, potatoes and carrots and onion. Really great! Will make this regularly from now on. A superb kind of curry.

I know that in Japan slurping is a sign of being grateful and enjoying one's meal, but what you said about England is also true across the entire European continent: it is considered really bad, lack of table manners and upbringing to slurp or otherwise make any kind of noises while eating (or keeping one's mouth open where one can see the one's food). Close family members might, perhaps, tolerate burping at the family table, but it's still considered embarrassing and bad manners. However, I know that burping in Japan after a meal is a way to let the cook know that it was delicious and enjoyable.

Looks like a fun experience. I live in the U.S.A and we don't have these types of experiences. Hope you had a great time.

I learnt ramen slurping purely by trial and error. Found out made way less mess if I slurped it up.

Similarities between all oriental cultures. Chinese people all over the world also use chopsticks and slurp it's considered very polite but im sure you already know that as a Japanese. We Orientals are very similar in that way

If you're ever in Japan and want ramen, don't go to Ichiran. It's like going to Denny's for a burger. You'll likely find much better ramen by googling for a random izakaya with good reviews, or better yet, asking locals.

I tried 3 or 4 times to book a table. It’s simply impossible even a month in advance. The site crashes when you try to connect at 6pm japan time. And in 30 sec it’s full. Somethings wrong with this system.
