Great talent👍❤️
Abbie must've played a bass 'bone, on this 1. Great, Abbie!
I came for Abbie but stayed for the vibrato. Beautiful vibrato Abbie! 7 beats/second and most importantly then...only 'after' the pitch is first introduced and established. Just like the natural pulse of all great ballade singers, in top form, in their technical and lyrical prime. This is all too rare a thing in orchestral players, who tend to emulate the rapid tremulous effect that opera singers succumb to near the end of their career, which lamentably has now come to define modern operatic...parody, and it seems, sadly, modern brass...'pseudo' expressiveness.
Marvelous!
Beautiful music
Prachtig.
Herb Schoales was one of my 'bone teachers and my big band leader. I sure wish he was still with us.
