I am confused as well. Why take a chance of mixing the crew with famously known for their spy activities soviets? They are a liability...I think? We haven't reached the higher state of consciousness where all cultures and races work in unity and peace with each other.

Just starting the movie, and I am confused by the use of the Soviet Union as one of the parties in the conflict. The movie was made in 1999, but the Soviet Union came to an end around 1989-1990. My mother and I watched the fall of the Berlin wall on TV. It meant a lot to us because we still have relatives in Poland. With the breakup of the Soviet Union came freedom for all of the enslaved countries, including Poland. Been dealing with memories of my mother a good bit the past few days because today is the 21st anniversary of her death. Sorry to digress. About this blooper in the movie...I suppose I can pretend it's an alternate dimension or timeline.

They must be feeding the script writers dry wood shavings. Why else would they put blasphemous lines in the mouths of the actors? Mind you, for the actor to not have a problem with using these words says a lot about his values…. This movie ended prematurely like so many others.

Centripital/centrifugal force cannot create faux gravity in a vacuum, it needs gravity to work the way it does. All you'd have is a spinning fuselage with floating a'nauts inside. Magnetised floors might work with metal shoes.

I remember watching this movie when I was a teen in cable somewhere and always wondered about it and then one day I found it in vhs off ebay and bought it. Love this movie and would love to see it updated or re-released with extra scenes or something. A great underground classic
