I have a DMX9720XDS and cannot update it. I have been a IT professional for 20 years and when following the instructions provided on the Kenwood web site the headunit fails to see any updates on the drive. I have tried many times over the last two years. Different drives, different formats and different file structures. Also Apple has release the iPhone 15 and the Kenwood web site is only talking about iPhone 13 and below. This headunit was $1900 AUD. It should be able to connect to my WIFI at home while I'm parked in my driveway and do the updates.

How to remove photos? Realized portrait (vertical) photos are not great. Best to use landscape (horizontal). Can’t figure out how to remove the photos once uploaded.

Used to love your auto D mask, and had the x617, x817, and x917. All of them, the ribbon cables went bad just right after the warranty period. Had x817 repaired twice, then never got a kenwood again, what a shame.

They really need a new version of the DMX958XR and the 1057XR. And thew DVR-N520 is getting super old and needs to be upgraded to support MicroSDXC. Adding 1080p screens with 1080P cameras that use the much more common AHD standard instead of the obscure TVI30 720p standard would be appreciated.
How can I fix my connection. Even when plugged andriod auto still disconnects from phone. Is there an update for DMX8709S? Been a Kenwood supporter sense 16, never even considered buying any other brand as a head unit
Performance issues with Android auto wireless could be attributed to installation issues. A requirement of the installation is to provide the GPS Antenna a clear view of the sky. Also, to test wired vs wireless performance, and to identify any difference you must plug the smartphone in before the receiver powers up to test a WIRED connection, at that point, it will function as a WIRED USB connection, if you plug up the smartphone after the receiver boots up and establishes a wireless connection, it will remain a wireless connection but allow charging when plugged into USB. Cell service can also cause disruption in wireless performance, you may be outside of a coverage area or have other disruptions to signal nearby. Thanks!
Hello kenwood, I bought dnr1007xr unit along with RR2 . Sadly I don’t have tpms system in my car. I want to install aftermarket tpms system, Like usb tpms. How can I install app in the unit to connect with TPMs?
The TPMS info is provided via the Can-Bus systems, and the iDatalink Maestro RR Module reads as data from the OEM systems and displays that reading on the receiver via the Data connection. It will not work with aftermarket TPMS Systems. Thanks!
The Download app. For this unit. Does not work 4. Any model. Android or Windows. Computer. Something definitely wrong with the app. Pretty much makes the system useless. unless you continually take out. SD card.
Make sure you are Downloading the Correct app for the correct device. For PC download www.kenwood.com/car/app/kenwood_motorsports_cam_viewer/eng/index.html . For Android or Apple Devices www.kenwood.com/car/app/kenwood_motorsports_cam/eng/index.html . The app only connects via WIFI and does not maintain a full time connection. What's your current top of the line double din head unit? I purchased a DDX9903S a number of years ago, and have been thinking about maybe upgrading. What's the upgrade path for my head unit?
The DDX9907XR still retains a DVD drive as the best option to transition from what you currently are using and would provide an overall improvement in capabilities and performance. Thanks!

@@Face_RC If you are looking for Garmin Navigation the "go to" will be DNX997XR. We still maintain CD/DVD drives as options throughout our product lines for the time being, although not as popular, many of us still like using a physical DISK! Thanks!
I have after market alpine radio, amp and sub but don't sound good enough. Can this Kenwood Excelon 6 channel Amp (XR600-6DSP) perfect the sound quality and clarity?
This amplifier has been discontinued and is a few generations old, we have a current amp that does not include a DSP but works with the aftermarket receiver you currently have, The XR901-5 www.kenwood.com/usa/car/excelon_reference/xr901-5/ is a great Sound Quality amplifier assuming your subwoofer and speakers match the requirements and ohm load. JUNK !! I’ve had this camera for over a year now and have barely got to use it. It’s very frustrating trying to connect it to WIFI and then connect it through the APP. I’ve been trying for 45 min to try and get it connected, the APP keeps disconnecting. For amount of money this thing costs, STAY AWAY FROM IT !!

@@KenwoodUSA I figured it out myself, the WIFI signal needed to be stronger for it to work. All my other devices work just fine from my single router. Had to buy an extender to get the CAM APP to work.
@@workharddieproud the STZ-RF200wd is only intended to connect to a Smartphone as a local connection, it does not connect or provide internet connection. its simply to download footage and transfer that footage to the smartphone gallery for viewing. Thanks!

This camera doesn't produce HDR video files. They look fine, the dynamic range is good, but I feel like I was falsely advertised to. The video files are clearly SDR
the HDR feature we are identifying is HDR (High Dynamic Range) for Backlighting to easily record clear images in dark or well-lit settings without underexposing or overexposing the image. It is not associated with the HDR file type. Thanks!

There has been an update recently to the KENWOOD Dashcame Manager App, within the last 30 days, please ensure you are running the most current version of the app. You can go ahead and uninstall the previous version and install the current app. We are working on a follow-up video that will be done soon to go along with the newest version of our dashcams. Another tip, Make sure the dashcam is in Connect mode (stop recording>press and hold the Wi-Fi connection button) Open cell iPhone wifi connections> Connect to the dashcam> Once connection is complete> open KENWOOD Dashcam Manager App and Press "Continue" usually works best in this order. Would love to try this set up! Trying to find someone local to hear it first. Only think I'm skeptical on is the 160 watt amp. Does not seem like much power!
The amp is balanced between the limit of the bike's stator * 55 Amp Output* and the RMS requirements of the speakers. Overall the setup is tuned for the bike and produces great volume with clarity without overloading the small electrical systems on the bikes. Thanks!
