The LARGEST STREET MARKET in POLAND is located in an Old Train Station.
I was shocked when my Polish friend took me to this massive street market and flea market in Poland. It's located in an old train station in Wroclaw Poland. But it spills out on to the train tracks, in front of the station and up to a kilometer away from the station. It's absolutely massive and they are selling household wares, clothes, shoes, fruits, candies and a thousand other items. This place literally has hundreds of different sellers, there is even a flea market at the end of the street market. This market started of the fall of communism in Poland, when people were looking for goods at cheap prices. My friend said that its even bigger now.

    1 - We are proud of it! 2 - Sometimes we complain about our public transport. But we compare it to western Europe, not USA. 3 - Modern - it is not only about skyscrapers. OK in Cracow we have only two (and I don't know if we need more). I think Poland is modern becouse whole system: public transport, education, banks (you can pay with your card almost everywhere). 4 - Pizza is rather not Polish but it is really popular. 5 - 95% of Warsaw was destroyed. But not all towns and cities damaged so much. 6 - YES. 7 - We see it as normal. 8 - Small. Well if you want to say something just say it, without ansking about my family. Especially if you don't know me. But if you need something, maybe I can help you. 9 - Sometimes we are complaining that they should be even more green. More. Form Americans it may be not much, but in Poland we have low and high mountains, Balitc See, lake districts. History of many towns and cities had stared in middle ages. So there is much to visit.

    It might be cheap in the context of the conversion of the currency and the buying power of money that you are talking about in comparison to the US Dollar. But the true price is still talked to based of the economy of the country, the GDP and other factors. Even if you look through the products of the biggest and most known makers of the USA they will never have the same product priced the same in other countries. No matter the difference in size of the packaging or the quality even. But as a regular shopper this is exactly what everyone is nearly always focused on, no matter the business knowledge. Oh you make me miss polish food.

    • @TravelAddictGuy
      @TravelAddictGuy Před 4 dny

      It's best to pay with the local currency. In Poland they use Zloty, in Czech Republic they use Czech Koruna (usually called crowns). In Hungary they use a currency called Forint. In most cases you can pay with your bank cards and your bank will do the exchange for you. It's a good idea to carry some local cash, because not everyone will accept a card. You can exchange your Euros in each of these countries or withdraw or use an ATM to withdraw the local currency. Your bank will charge you the best rate, with a 3% fee usually. Make sure to use the option let my bank do the exchange, do not accept the ATM offer to do the exchange, as they will charge a markup fee. Safe travels and thank you.
