Great question! If you have a vocal synthesizer that you are interested in using. First it should be installed. Once installed you pull it up in Cakewalk. If you are using like a vocoder then you can simply create an audio track and add the plugin to the track. After that it’s just recording your lyrics and melody. Now if you are thinking more like a midi controlled vocoder or talk box etc then you need to have a midi controller or some midi instrument then you use the controller to change melody of what you are speaking. Same process for recording except now you are using an instrument track. I have to make one in this. Don’t believe I’ve come across a video that shares this.

@@JustDaNorm Thanks, I've been so lost on how to use the vocal synth Alter Ego as it didn't provide a way for me to record and export melodies, and yes I haven't come across any video explaining this either, only that a DAW is needed.

Thanks for the comment! I have felt your frustration at times. Typically updates are not always needed right away. The main important think I suggest is doing firmware updates on digital mixers and may do your iPad etc but usually if the tech is still working and their is no issues don’t update. Wait until you see and issue that Caine easily fixed then consider update firmware and software. The biggest thing to having a digital setup is have a great router. It will keep you from losing signal etc. Other than that I have never had issues. In the end do what’s best for your. If it works and ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Hmm. I don’t believe so. In order to access the instruments install you have to run the cakewalk.exe install. You can use them in different DAWs once Cakewalk is installed

@@JustDaNorm Yes, I have Cakewalk installed on my PC and as you said, other DAWs recognize Cakewalk Studio Instruments. But I wanted to try it now on a Mac computer without installing CW. Thanks for the reply! 🙂

I believe that when you installed Cakewalk. The Sonitus plugins might’ve been unchecked. Definitely reinstall.

I would check the output of the vocal track. It should be set to Master but may be set to something different.

@@JustDaNorm bc i tried loading up a project i was working on dude and it said the cakewalk reverb the reverb2 and a VU meter i installed said it was referred to this project but couldn’t be found, was sayin it could be downloaded improperly but it was fine until i tried to download the fresh air pluggin dude so now i think i have to delete cakewalk re download it n stuff n i don’t wanna do that

@@yxnggutta5041 you can try disabling the effects you recently downloaded and see if that fixes the problem. Have you tried restarting computer?

@@JustDaNorm well they aren’t even poppin up inside of where my vst plugins are found in the cakewalk plugin manager under utilities

Have you checked plugin manager to see if they are disabled? I would try reinstalling Cakewalk.

I replied to your other messages. Definitely consider reinstalling Cakewalk if you look in plug in manager and can’t find the plugins. Sometimes folders get moved to a different place.

Sure you should be an to activate offline now. I have not done it myself but there is an options for it.

Si Drum Kit works great. Of course if you want more sounds or more editing capabilities then you can download other VSTs . There are a lot of great drum vsts out there.

@alextea1393 under midi devices in Cakewalk you have to select your electronic drums as the input. If you don’t see it available to choose then you may have to install drivers for them.

Hello Colleen. I'm sorry you are having issues. Could you answer the follow questions. Are you using an audio interface or only your internal sound card? If you do have an external audio interface you should be able to download drivers from the companie's website. I can look it up for you. If you are not using external interface then I would suggest changing your audio settings to Wasapi Shared. Let me know if you still have trouble.
