And make it seem like mermaids/mermans would feel the bond towards the person who is supposed to be their soulmate so they will do whatever it takes to be with them. Despite Rafael being so full of himself, i can see him being the type to sacrifice himself for the person he truly loves before anyone else.. (aka Y/N)
