This feature does not address 'Always select one value' in a specific alternate state. Here is a use case where you would like the ''Always select one value'' filter to be associated with an alternate state. If you've created an alternate state for very specific charts and you would like the 'Always select one value' filter to affect the selections in these charts. However, you do not want it to affect the selections in other charts.

Can we find the difference between the values of the two states? I mean if we select "USA" of State 1 abd "USA" of State 2 and show the difference(USA[State2-State1]) in any KPI, TABLE or CHARTS

Question we got on Twitter - "What use-cases are there for Always one selected value?" Answer: Most commonly we see this used in three use-cases. The first is to prevent inaccurate representation of figures, where allowing a user to clear or select multiple values should be avoided e.g. selecting a specific language or currency in an app that may contain many. The second is to focus a view for more in-depth analysis, for example we've created a customer 360 view, where some objects require a single selection to calculate as desired - previously this required advanced expressions to achieve. Lastly, if you are working with large data sets, this can reduce the amount of data being analysed at any one time and therefore optimise the calculation times of dashboards/objects.

I didn't follow what you were saying about decentralization with the graphic you were showing. I didn't see how the graphic had anything to do with what you were talking about. The second graphic shows People connected to People, Data to Data, Ideas to Ideas. But that's not what you are talking about. In short, your graphics are just pretty pictures, but serve no purpose in getting your message out.l
