Kojima’s genius in the trailers especially the first one is crazy. How he used the music to signify that phantom pain and MGSV were indeed the same game gets me hype to this day.

I also go back and watch trailers from this game pretty often.

Bruh you need to play mgs4 the ending is heartbreakingly sad, and yes it did make me cry the first time I watched it...and the second time. Also My favorite Mgsv trailer is also the 2014 EU Nuclear trailer! it was so well put together and I loved Nuclear by Mike Oldfield. Mgsv has the best trailers, EVER.

As someone who didn't grow up with access to gaming forums and theories online, I remember seeing the original Phantom Pain trailer and thinking it was a new metal gear solely based on the crawl animation. You could imagine my shock when it was fully revealed years later 😂
