Miracle of the teddy bear (The one I thought was a bottom died and became teddy bear whereas the top started dating his ex again at the ending it was very heartbreaking for me even though both the top and bottom were happy)

This isn’t a BL story, it’s a fantasy adventure/romance trilogy based on Japanese mythology but I think it deserves an honourable mention. It’s called Shadow of The Fox by Julie Kagawa. The MCs aren’t the gay ones, but two of the characters that join them on their quest are. Daisuke and Okame (with Okame being canonically bi). I genuinely cried at the end of the third book. They knew they weren’t going to survive, so they agreed to die in the most epic way so that people would write poems about them. It’s so sad :((( (I totally suggest reading it btw. The two MCs are technically ‘straight’ but I totally headcannon Yumeko as pan because she’s so precious. There’s also a canonically Aroace character who’s really important! Reika, who’s like the mother of the group. There’s really nice representation but we don’t get to see Daisuke and Okame kiss until the third book, but oh well. Very good story.)
