You didn't respond to a single person who gave you info on how to work this motor? Didn't watch a single video or do any research at all? You know how to use starter fluid, so surely you'd have tried choke in both settings, but still posted this video. I'm guessing based on those facts that you're not intentionally being rude, you prolly just fell outta your boat and drowned.

What I see is the choke on these motors are marked backwards from the way we label ours. They show on as to the motor running. They show off as the motor being shut off. It is A difference in languages. Just relabel the choke. Also you may have to adjust the carb needle screw. This very common with these motors.People think there choking the motor when there not.

I think these are good dependable little engines but if they make 10,000 of them I’m guessing 50 will be defective. Most people will get a good working engine.

Shouldn’t be so difficult to start. I have the same problem with mine. With the choke in both positions. Trying to see if I can return it.

If you are going to buy this piece of crap you will need to get another pullstart because these break easy also grease all the parts under the hood oh and make sure to oil the gears then you will have a tempermental motor that will be so annoying you will wish you had bought a used honda 2.3hp 4 stroke for the same price that is very reliable and built like a tank

There's has been issues with the fuel cap vent. Loosen the fuel cap a little and see if it helps at all. (If everything else mentioned in the comments doesn't work.)

Hope you checked the lowwer unit for oil... they are shipped dry.

Your fuel/air needs adjusting. It's so simple

Turn of the choke when it's running, use it only for max 2 seconds when it has started, it's nothing wrong with the Hangkai

You need to put your choke off when starting, because there is a problem with their English. In fact, off is choke on, and don't pump too much fuel, which will lead to too much fuel in the cylinder
