Maids When You’re Young Never Wed An Old Man 🇮🇪
A little clip of the song Maids When You’re Young.
A warning to all the young ladies as Luke Kelly said from 9-99 years of age. Not to end up with old men. Haha a great number, in honour of Luke Kelly a fantastic musician of Ireland. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, amen.

Thankyou Kevin! 🙏
Powerful story well done ❤️🇮🇪
Thanks very much Alan! Isn’t it
Great song and one I have not heard before. I have been listening to more inflammatory Irish rebel songs and comparing them in my mind to the songs of my teens and Toby Keith's "Angry American." Interesting to note the themes men write songs about when they are sad, bored, or angry.
Hardly inflammatory haha, just a story! All the songs of Ireland tell our story. What are the themes?!
The song is about wishing he was back in derry
@@OisinMcGrath1916 I have grown fond of "The man from the Daily Mail" but have been watching others that show photographs from the times the song refer too.
@@OisinMcGrath1916 Would you consider doing a cover of "The Soldiers of Cumann na mBan"?
Love it! The melody sounds a bit like "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Great job man.
Never heard of it 😮 good song?
Thankyou for the kind words! 😃
@@OisinMcGrath1916 Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald" stays with you. It is about a real shipwreck on one of the lakes between Canada and the US.
