RSSB - Emergency Special Working: Introduction

Part of a series of videos produced by Sightline for RSSB explaining Emergency Special Working (ESW) a new alternative to temporary block working which allows trains to be moved more quickly and more safely following a major signalling failure. Filming took place trackside as well as inside of train cabs and at Network Rail's signaller training department.

@@ryanhelton1865 meh s-quads are a pile of shit there made cheaply and are prone to breaking along with gents new viglon panels gent 34000 is much more quality and would do a better job than something that will last 5 years, i mean look at the old stuff it must be good quality if its lasted this long!
@@FinlaysFireSystemsElectrical not true I installed a vigilon at a school in 2010 still going strong today including all the detectors, call points, and even outdoor sounders. I’ve serviced that system ever since we installed it and I’ve never even seen a fault in it apart from once which was a power fault because of the battery’s. It’s true gent have a bad name very recently but that is down to one reason and one reason only their technology as had advanced and most the people who install these systems let’s say haven’t advanced with it. Which is the main cause of why so many are in fault because they have not been installed properly
@@ryanhelton1865 the reason im saying these viglons fail is viglon compacts seem to fail all the time, in the fire alarm community several people have hard theirs fail wich is why i have my opinion about viglon systems

It’s probably still Gent but with the newer devices like the S-Quads
I’m surprised those gold call points are allowed thought regulations state they have to be red, I know it’s an old video but they could upgrade the system to a wireless one and just put a relay every 5 meters or how ever far apart
