Firefighter here: in my 40+ year career as a firefighter I have responded on several hundred attic fires. All of them were cellulose insulation. Most were smoldering fires that may burn for days before the heat and embers reach wood framing and then once it reaches air the flames appear and the open flame fire is produced. I’ve never seen this happen with fiberglass insulation..

Our pressure treated pine deck is 8 yrs old and been oil based stained 3 times (semi-transparent)…lots of afternoon sun and needs re-stained badly. Last stained about 5 years ago. Thinking of using solid or close to solid this time. Do we have to get oil based product? Please advise! Thank you.

Best video out there on this topic. Love that you showed the ENTIRE job, start to end. Another CZcams video notes that only one side of the stops need to be removed, which can save a little time. Plus, not sure why you removed the top stop...just to make sure all the woodwork matches perfectly perhaps? Thanks for the information.

Just curious, it’s nice and easy to do samples on flat places but you get a lot of 90° angles and working around electrical outlets and you really didn’t show the finished product. It looked a little uneven before it dried Do you have any video of an actual job you did that would be great

It's better to put the 'hook and eye' on the side of the sill because it will have less contact with water when it rains, less likely to rot.

I see a mountain of fools missing the point of the video is a way to clean a brush. Would they watch a video on how to drive to a store and buy one? People all over the globe made due with what they have at their disposal, if your "just go to the store" were a 3 hour drive, or a day's hike, would you still make light of it? Not even product specific, heavy thinning agent, agitate, lean thinning agent, agitate, optional conditioner. If you paint all the time, and you throw away brushes after every job, this video is even more relevant, your cost base for the chemicals cycles much better. You muck up a resistant bin to whatever you're going to use with 50 brushes, dump the agent in, do something else for a couple days, have a beer while you clean them up, throw em in the next thinner for a couple days...if you only had to run this process once quarterly or semi annually, then you'd have the entire stockpile. What's your "time is money" argument when you didn't make unnecessary trips to the store because you have dozens of spares aside the fresh one you pick up with the paint for the trimming. It really is some fast food in a carton in a bag side of cheap break on use [should be illegal] plastic cutlery thinking; you plebs need to tighten up, just because you are accustomed to excess doesn't mean a perpetual infinite supply. You don't need to buy a gallon or 2 chemicals to clean A brush, no. But you've been shown what to look for and what to use it on.

I have a brick home built in 1939 original windows. I’m having the trim and windows painted but My painter said I have to have the windows re-glazed. Each window has 12 window panes. He said he would give me a deep discount to re-glaze at $100. dollars per window. Is that a fair price?

Yeah sure you can double the denominator like we have been doing forever, Easy AF, but try explaining that on site to The greenhorn millennial in under a half hour. This method shows rather than tells how it’s done & can make the mathematically inept laborer look somewhat competent, at least for a moment.
