I just bought one of these. 1995 f-super duty Quigley converted 7.3 powerstroke with 5speed manual. Cab and chassis only with 67k miles on it. Runs great. Problem is parts availability and cost. It’s got 10 lug axles. So rim options are limited. And steering is a little sloppy on these old trucks and now you have to find and pay for Dana 70 front axle parts. Nobody down at Napa is gunna know what you’re talking about. Ask me how I know. Despite that, These are super cool trucks. Just not for the shallow pocketed or the feint hearted. and I’m way jealous of the gear vendors. Mine has 5.13 gears with the 5 speed and I’m humming at 2500 rpm to do 55mph. Bout 6 mpgs probably.

Wouldnt an air intercooler be more efficient technically? Because air coming in is still colder the coolant that is circulating?

good for a cummins swap

Need to do side by side intake air temp comparison with air to air cooler. Heat soak, radiator size, lots come into play. Need a large radiator such as the size of the 6.7 to keep the water from heat soaking in the system. Whats the pump size? Flow rate etc. Water flow is huge in A2W coolers. But..... there's opportunity to add an interchiller system to this!

I've got an 88 F250 EXT Cab 7.3 IDI na 4×4 flatbed 5 speed 4;10 diffs 33×11.50-16 mud tires 2 1/2" chrome stacks home made radius arm traction bars tan on brown. What a joy that baby is to drive. So comfortable and with those gears all the power I'll ever need. It's smooth going down the road and sure footed like a mountain goat. And it'll pull through the mud like a wildcat! This Cat has a nice wagon right there!

The bouncing speedo is the PSOM. It can be rebuilt. Common problem.
