Short sided below the green? Here’s what to do
You’ll see this a lot at Pinehurst this week during the US Open, and probably a fair amount at the Open at Royal Troon next month. Pros do not take on much risk generally with their strategy, a big part of why they make so few big numbers. Here’s a simple way to avoid plying flop shots, and give yourself much better looks for par when you miss on the short side below the green level

Come on man, don’t post poor behavior
I swear I had to double check myself. I just got in my car and my phone started playing this song. Then I open up this video and thought it was playing but somehow my music was still going. Shit had me so confused
Bros swing is majestic
I try man 😂 I appreciate it!
Dude this is a cheat code had me hitting strainer than I ever have this morning thank you so much
It really is haha
i bought the skytrak plus in Feb. Love it
Excellent instruction! I do have one question, on tough shots where you have to punch out a good method is that the back swing should be low and slow. Would that apply here as it appeared you took a full blown hammered swing? Thanks
Thank you! Yes, I’m demonstrating a tee shot here so swing looks longer, but this concept would apply to anything you want to hit lower than usual with more run out on the backend
What does that even mean
It means you need to turn your shoulders, so many ams just use their arms* with very little shoulder turn creating a weak & inconsistent swing. There’s actually very little arm movement in a good golf swing.
That’s pretty much it, you want a big body turn and a short arm swing! I posted a video last week that explains what shoulder bend actually is if you want to understand it better
Draw all day. Except for in a tournament
“Triple digits again” as in your shooting 100+????
Because no way your too good for that 😎
@@gooooooofy7194lol, definitely outside temps
Wadda putt!!
109°F Phoenix September 8th. Arizona Grand Resort and GC. I drank a bottle of water every hole and had ice towels ready. It wasn't enough. I started to really feel the effects of the heat around hole 14. It got up to 113° F in other parts of Phoenix that weekend. FML it was hot.
I have a few friends who live down there and they play all their golf before 8 am haha
800
😂
Temperature means nothing, let’s talk about the humidity percentage….
So true
No such thing as too hot for golf here in the Nordic countries
Must be nice! Haha
did 107 with 70% humidity other day wasn't as bad as a 85 degree day with like 90% humidity that was nearly unplayable
Humidity makes everything. dry heat is way more tolerable
Humidity sucks. Don’t have to deal with that hear anyway haha
92 degrees with excessive humidity was the hottest day I’ve ever golfed. I would go hotter with a cart.
I know hottest I’ve ever been was Arkansas, 95° with 90% humidity. Disgusting 😂
I’m taking my clubs to hell 😂
Love it 😂
117 120
Same
With a cart and some water I hope 😂
No
(^з^)-☆
New donk city
For me if i hit those shots id prolly bird at least one and somehow bogey the rest.
😂 better check out my putting videos
I was set on the DF3. But this video gives me something to think about. I kinda like how the Link trajectory seems to be a bit more straight back and forward.
What did you end up going with? Their all winners, LAB makes good stuff. I’m using a Mezz broomstick!
@@tlrabergolf haven't gotten one yet, but will probably settle on the Mezz with a normal shaft length
Pick it up, it's good 👍
Thank you!
Thank you!
You bet!
My snap hook will look much better this way
How do I get this!
It’s just a projector and screen playing live feed, I’m just trying to time my shots to the pros 😂
Honestly not wrong
Hell of a shot🫡
My first career bird on 6 😂
Looks just like my swing!😂
Identical
RPM. There's no such thing as RPMs. God these clowns on the Internet.
Lol, uh oh, it’s the grammar police! Calm down buddy, and let me know the next time you hear any golfer ever refer to them as RPM singular instead of RPM plural. I’m well aware of what it stands for and that the use of an an S isn’t necessary grammatically, but no sane human ever who plays golf says it this way. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
@@tlrabergolf actually most everyone speaks correctly. Only ignorant idiots say RMPs and they are in the minority. If you are going to be making educational videos maybe don't be a dolt.
He’s right. The forearm bowing out slightly is my latest swing thought and I had one of the best range sessions I’ve ever had this morning. Funny to come across this video. Shots are straightening right out.
Love to hear it!
This guy didn’t skip leg day 💪🏼
Never 😂
That's not even close lol
Fair haha. My right foot used to slide a lot more. As I’ve become more aware of it I do it less haha
Great swing!
Thank you!
I do it accidentally sometimes but nice swing brother
Thanks! I appreciate it
Lol! I don't try anyone's swing, to prone to failure! Develope your own swing. His swing is crazy! I would completely miss the nall with sll that movement, he is a pro and it works for him not me.
I could never learn his footwork today. Mine isn’t as crazy as his, it’s gotten better over time, but my right foot used to slide all over with driver haha
Nothing better
Agreed!
Я с Украины 🎉
And we will put this one in the bag!
Solllllld haha
Stripe show
awsome dude keep up the good work
I need a address video. Everyone talks about having the club in a straight line with the lead arm but I don’t understand I don’t think
I’m late here, but I got you
Not straight enough 😂. Just kidding, that was awesome.
Over drew it 😂
A little high up on the face
I played it! Loved it! Try a couple of different shafts. The 3wood is a beast! I believe they have found it! Best one that I have used. Finally overcame my Ping! Might just try the irons. Hard to beat my G30s. And Cleveland wedges.
That was a nice little pitch from that lie I had probably tried to play it even lower with less loft
Also a great option 👍🏻
Tiger would fail this drill. So dumb
No, he wouldn’t actually
@@tlrabergolf if he wanted to hit further than my mom he would.....but, Ok Gankas, great drill !
This is maybe the worst attempt at what I assume was an insult that I’ve ever seen
Your the pro golf instructor. Why not provide some evidence as to how this drill correlates with pro golfers. I understand how it could help with syncing the torso, arms and hips and will give someone with a problematic flip a better feel. Other than, it's a useless drill. Go look at some tour winning swings on gears and watch how this doesn't work
This is a drill for people with a problematic flip. I literally said it in the video. I have a better idea, you go find me a tour winning swing that doesn’t have forward shaft lean at P7. I’ll be waiting 😊
gonna use this tomorrow, thanks alot!
