I was in the Marines with the 6th fleet. And this ritual was great except it was never chow hall food they would chopper in a hundreds of steaks prepared on these giant charcoal grills on deck. And with Russian hunter-killer submarines stalking the task force that's the least fleet HQ could do.

I remember the BLUE Angeles back in the late 1960's all the way up to around early 2000. Back in the day's they use to fly the F-4 PHANTOM and they were sooooo good I wanted to own one (still wouldn't mind one) and then came the F-18, I was totally floord.During all this time I had lived on "Mercer Island, Washington " on the West side of the Island about in the middle but not close to the water (Lake Washington) but I sure had a grand view of them. About when the F-18 came out I obtained a Communication Receiver and I would listen to them all the time, quit interesting conversations.

Also, pilots are not going to take their hands off the throttle or control stick during a close airobatic manuever to give a hand signal! If they get too close or something else goes wrong, each pilot must know exactly what to do and do their part to safely break from the fornation and avoud a collusion. Also, except for the two solo pilots that rarely join with the formation except for a couple maneuvers, nearky all verbal communication during a formation is done only by the lead pilot. Even the spoed and tone of his voice, as well as tge actual wrods he says, communicates what he is starting to do and what he continues to do through the entire maneuver.

  • @cyh4031

Umm...sorry to inform you, but neither the Blue Angels, nor any other sane flight demonstration teams fly formation in fog or clouds. Not only can they not maintain their accurate visual separation in those conditions, but nobody on the ground would be able to see those maneuvers! The Blue Angels have several demonstrations they train to fly. If the sky is clear, the usually fly their full altitude demo. If skies are cloudy but the ceiling is above I think it's 4000 feet(perhaps 6000), they fly their low altitude demo staying below the cloud layer. If the ceiling is too low, the cancel their demo and wait for clearer conditions. Yes, these jets can fly by instruments in certain conditions, but aerobatics are not flown under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), only under VFR (Visual Flight Rules). Perhaps you should hire someone who actually knows aviation regulations and technical information to both write and read your scripts. This clearly unknowledgable script gives me no interest in either liking or subscribing yo your channel.

I spent 18 years on galleys like these. More often than Sometimes, when supply is delayed or missed most sailors go hungry. The fat ones are ordered to do intermittent fasting & fresh Water is rationed . A big group of us need to show our fishing talents and bring in any seafood available, dead or alive, to the table. Old dead whales, dolphins, birds, etc go into the huge soup cauldron. We used to boil used tissue papers and serve them as milk. Creepers , grass, swamp vines, etc make the salads We did have some hens laying fresh eggs for the captain and VIP. One captain had his own cow for milk and a few had garden patches in the decks doing agriculture. Man what an amazing life I had in the Sudanese Navy 😅

I've seen almost every team mentioned, including the 2 small aircraft & pilots, from James Bond. My dad's entire life, revolved around fighters, bombers, as both an engineer, and supervised Rockwell's, "Rosy Riveters." What broke his heart back then? He was friend's with the original Thunderbird pilots! And all of them were dead, in quick succession - I can't recall if all in combat or afterwards in shows, but he would breakdown. But he took me, ever since an infant, te every Thunderbird and Blue Angels display, if in a show near us. I've probably seen them more than thirty times. Add the Arrows and 'Hawks?" I think the Angels had another dreadful mishap the other year, so off my balcony, and in the pool, we all heard, then saw the Arrows fly in, for the Long Beach Air Show! I live in airspace between John Wayne and Long Beach, so we get to hear all the jets, plus used to be the Space Shuttles, come booming in! But the Arrows, Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, all have to do these beautiful, elliptical swathes to slow down, before landing at any airport around here! Which I love.
