yes sir i believe it. metropolitan hill is no joke. was gonna also do millenium this day, couple fridays back, but the wind that day smoked me. i'll go back washington-village-belgrade-centre figure it out from there
@@BostonBike if you take the bike lane on Centre St to Spring St, you can take a right on Gardner St which will give you a pedestrian crossing light over the VFW into Millennium 😀
Right after catholic memorial stick with Gardner you got it

What's the best route to get there from downtown? I'm guessing Tremont to the SW corridor bike path?
Tremont right on mass sneak onto path go down through Rox/JP take a LEFT on Williams, look for rec area baseball,new basketball courts being built, English High, williams shoots you right into that entrance. don't embarass me with a smokin time😲👊🏼

Nice climb! Would have loved a few more seconds taking in the view of Dorchester Bay. In the mid '80s my folks lived over there, but ended up moving after, if as I very hazily recall, neighborhood kids playing with matches caused a small house fire in the adjacent building which also slightly combusted our building. After the fire, the landlord wanted to get out, and offered to sell my folks the entire triple decker for the then absurd price of $180,000. At the time, that neighborhood was still slumbering, and they declined. They decided to move too, and though I think they wanted to be in Lower Mills, they ended up closer to Adams Village. Boston has changed pretty dramatically in the two generations since.

Regarding the view I agree with you, just the CZcams algos it's like a dance to try and make the right video structure to please them. there are other videos with a lot of views as well you might like the coastal ones that ride along the bay

that region yeah lots of wavy hills. not everyone might be as in good of physical shape as you and others. yesterday, not sure if you were out there, the wind was really tough. saw people pushing their bikes around actually in a few cases. anyways, maybe not corey hill but if you look at the area as a whole the average or new cyclist can get plenty of hills
@@BostonBike well I understand the accumulative effort now, that makes sense. No matter how good of a biker you are even the slightest of breezes that aren't aiding you feel like you're getting smacked by a wall of whatever. Didn't really mean anything by my comment, but I do have a little bit of a bias for what hills are because the most common type of hill gradient we have isn't below 25% even within the very town that I live in. Really common to have 35 40% gradient hills where I live, which is why e-biking is an essential thing if I lived in somewhere like Rhode Island or the Chesapeake Bay area, I would be doing it a million more times often.
@@crimsonfox87fluxule62 all good and thank you for checking us out. this area shown has one what i would call a significant hill and many other ones that a new rider or someone trying to get in better shape would find challenging. yeah, yesterday on level ground the wind felt almost like being up on the longfellow. what tools do you use to research the hill gradient, etc.?
@@BostonBike well I don't really use any instrumentation, I don't really know how to and I wouldn't know what instruments to even use, But if you go into Google maps and look at the street view for Kitsap county Washington State, go along the back roads to poulsbo, go on Mile Hill near seabeck outside of Silverdale, and just look at the hilly terrain around Kitsap county where I live and the towns within it, and you'll see that the topography is incredibly inclined in almost every direction. I may not know the exact numbers behind the issue, but what I do know is that it's a problem.
