Ran with Las Vegas PCA region November 18 & 19. Great time. First time driving this new track and it's a lot of fun. This is the 2.76 mile configuration. Rewards you when you push it! Car is a 2015 Cayman S with Hoosier R7 tires. Some weight reduction and power mods. Ohlins coilovers and camber adjustments. Recorded with a Garmin Catalyst 11.19.22

I had a great time with the Audi Club SoCal! They know how to put on a fun track day. This is the 3.4 mile configuration Mansell C and was filmed on April 23, 2022 using a Garmin Catalyst and GoPro 9 Running Ohlins Road and Track coilovers, camber adjustment and Hoosier R7. Upgraded Girodisc rotors and Pagid pads. Some weight reduction and power adders on the 3.4 motor.

First time out there- got a ride along with Rita and then a few laps in my GT350R, but this snip is from a proper session with her providing some instruction. Time could have been even better if I hadn't messed up entering the esses. Maybe next time :) David...

The car in this video had Ohlins Road & Track coilovers, adjustable LCAs, Tarrett adj. rear sway and toelinks. Engine has Cobb 93 octane tune, Cargraphic race headers & Borla exhaust, IPD plenum. Six point belts and Sabelt halo seats. Wet the car weighs around 2820 lbs.

thanks this give me an idea to live with my squeaky clutch slave cylinder until I dare to muscle into there
your not supposed to leave the brake fluid reservoir open,.brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air,...also no need to bleed brakes on a brake job its a sealed system just push pistons back and swap pads and or rotors,...and just remember to pump brakes before driving.

Super helpful for figuring out how to loosen the clutch bleed valve! Thanks for doing the demo on the spare Sachs part outside of the car. Way easier to visualize. I used the same Gear Wrench flexible head flare wrench. Instead of putting the 3/8” extension on the other end for leverage, I just inserted a 9mm Allen driver in the other end of the Gear Wrench. Lots less clumsy
A poorly driven fast car can still be a tiny bit faster than a properly driven "slow" car. Well done! The GT3RS line was horrific...to hell with apexes seemed to be their answer to not hitting most of them.. :)
What course/config did you select on the Catalyst?
Catalyst didn’t have it in the database, it had to be manually created.

Thanks for the video. When did PCA start using Charleston Peak for the track config? I suppose they will keep using that config for awhile?
I think this was the first time they used this new track. I believe Spring Mt is moving most/all track day rentals to this track and only allowing their members access to the rest of the course. There is another, slightly longer configuration of this track, which makes it over 3 miles long. PCA Las Vegas region is running that configuration in March if you are interested in attending.

I’m gaining on you but not there yet. Did a bunch of laps from 1:40.3 to 1:40.9 on Wednesday on Configuration 4 (same as your video except no eyebrow following turn 7 at the top of the hill. I’ll watch this a few more times studying lines.

Yah, its flat out for me after T3 all the way to the braking zone over the crest of the hill. You should have the grip to do the same. Quite the rush the first time doing it!

Hey you my guy just wanted to know what’s the set up of the old focus what was the main changes to the engine beside the turbo
2.3 Duratec forged pistons and rods 9.0:1 compression. Balance shaft delete with Ranger crank. Crane stage 1 cams and upgraded valve springs. Cosworth intake manifold, 60 lb injectors. It’s been nearly 10 years since I had the car so I could be forgetting something.
Killer lap Dan, a quick google says yours within 9 seconds of a 991.2 GT3RS optimal lap. thats wild! I can't imagine you in a 500whp prepped car.

Thanks for posting this, Rita is somewhat unfamiliar with this configuration. Watching this I was explaining the line she should be taking and according to her, I’m wrong. That’s okay, at the end of the day she’s usually as fast as me.
Jonathan was driving the RS in this video and she was sitting passenger. It was clear that once he got warmed up in the RS I was getting left in the dust. Still fun to try. There’s a coaching video by the CDI of Inde giving some tips to a guy he instructed CCW.
