There's a guy at my workplace who uses the blue badge his girlfriend "qualified" for, and he parks in one of only two "disabled" bays available. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him, and his girlfriend is never with him.

But we house invaders and let our own people freeze ,I despair.

I'm not condoning wrongful use of a blue badge but £3,700- in costs seems excessive when thugs receive less than 200 hours of community service for crimes including violence, theft, public order and drugs offences.

People are fed up with all these stupid rules and regulations over parking. Why should they have to pay for parking in the first place?

Go to any Sainsbury car park in the land, and see it happening….. When a great, tattooed thug eases his bulk out of his car, and goes over to the hapless individual who has complained to him, and thumped him, it’s easy to see why people get away with it. Go for the thug, not the Priest, I suggest!

There is a retail park near me with a home and bargain, and a large gym next door. Very often we cant get a disabled space because they are full of mercedes and bmws of gym bros from a certain culture, none of which display a blue badge, ever. There are probably 12 spaces, and rarely more than 2 cars actually have a badge displayed. Also happens at the local tesco, i wish they had more people to enforce parking in disabled spaces. Make it law for a start carrying 6 points minimum.

I once witnessed a couple in their perhaps later fifties pull into one of the very few DISABLED parking spots on George Street, Edinburgh in a rather nice Mercedes sports coupe, upon exiting the car they held hands and literally sprinted off down the sidewalk. As I passed their car admiring the model, I noticed the Blue badge on display as well as the disabled parking space.
