dont buy, in 2019 machine did not last. break down every year Dont buy, unreliable product, horrible customer service, however if it dirt cheap, make sure you have extended warranty and budget at least $40 to $60 (a year) for laundromat costs (plus your own time) while the machine gets fixed. Our ASKO is on its 4th repair and it is currently not working for last three weeks, repair people come around last week and the part they ordered did not fix the problem and attempted to contact ASKO but were unable to speak to them due heavy number of calls, so machine is out of action now for 3 weeks and counting. ASKO and extended warranty have not been helpful, have provided no comfort or increased my confidence in this washing machine as it will most likely be broken again now that extended warranty finishes in August. DONT BUY! please learn from mistake. we got a machine repaired under warranty TLDR: dont buy ASKO, if you do, buy extended warranty is a must and budget $60 a year for laundromat costs while you ASKO is getting repaired.

Up to today i had never even heard of these machines.I saw this exact model on display.They are strange looking machines.After researching these very well engineered washing machines im sold and even though expensive theres a good 20 to 25 years service life.Sorry Bosch but Asko gets my vote.

My Asko front loader door wont open, and has a drain fault. We drained the water as shown on your instruction above. Hwever the door does not have the locxk as you show. How do I open the door.

It's a shame the rear leg isn't adjustable like the front ones.

Is it true that Asko are no longer a European company and are in fact owned by the same Chinese company that owns and sells Asko? If so are they built with Chinese parts to control costs. Everything seems to come from China even Bosch build some of their washers in China.

Thank you so much for the video!! Super useful. I used a knife in place of the unlock key and it worked fine. My machine was right on the ground so I didn’t have room to drain into a big bucket directly. However originally the water had enough pressure behind it that the pipe would drain even while pointing straight up so I was able to drain into two small buckets, swapping between them as needed, which were then emptied into the big bucket or could have been tipped down the drain. I started with one small bucket and one big bucket but found swapping between two small buckets easier then trying to kink the hose while I emptied the small bucket into the big bucket. An icecream bucket or yoghurt container could probably worked as a small bucket, if you don’t have a bucket on hand. You’ll also probably want to put a towel down before you start. After draining I unwound the screw cap behind the drain pipe to find the culprit, a bunch of coins as well as some elastic and a rubber band wrapped around a bit at the back that I almost missed, plus two more coins in the pipe opening on the side. Plus some grit around the edges of the plug I wiped off. So I recommend shining a light inside to check you found everything before closing things back up. Once the blockage is gone and everything is ideally working again I’d recommend putting the clothes back on for a ‘Rinse and Spin’ cycle to remove the rest of the excess water, rather then taking them out immediately.

Hmm. Don't seem to be able to get the ASKO accredited installers to come and remedy the problem I am having with the top shelf sliding out when I open the door. Related to poor installation in the first place I was told. Hopefully I can use the current lockdown in Melbourne to try and fix the problem myself. Failing that might be time to get a Miele.

This video makes so much more sense. You have to remove the front panel and move the wires on the inside to the opposite side. I have Electrolux and this is what I am seeing. All the hitches and wires are on the inside.
