I was born in Brazil. My family is Hakka from Meizhou, Guangdong, where my great-grandparents and grandparents lived in late 19th century and early 20th century as far as I know. Yet, my mom was born in Indonesia and my dad in Taiwan. 😃

I appluad the efforts of everyone creating at the moment. The human looking mimic robot was definitely creepy, but there is always someone pushing the bar for human realism. When I worked in VR, this was usually a disaster regarding avatars. The uncanny valley is not where you want to be. Most people were put off by it. I also think there will be a better adoption of this tech overall if the robots do not look like scary humans coming after their jobs 😂 People are used to seeing machines within their work environment and will accept robots with more ease that look like machines. Humanoid robots are probably not going to get a warm welcome at first.

Wow. I didn’t know until last week that Sun Yat Sen is Hakka. I am born and raised in New York City. My father is from Hubei which I know little about. My mother is 100% Cantonese Hakka but born and raised in Tsingtao Shantung China. While I never learned Hakka since Mandarin was spoken at home by my parents are also English language fluent , I generally heard it spoken when my mother spoke to her mother. I was raised my mom’s Chinese Hakka ways and values of courage, hard-work ethics, and hospitality and generosity. Both my parents passed away now but I appreciate and am proud of my Hakka roots and am starting to explore my Hakka heritage . I seen pictures of my great grandparents on a home somewhere in or near GuangZhou. My mom’s maiden surname is Liu. Lau if in Cantonese or Hakka.

Hakka came from southern Jiangxi. I am a Singaporean and my parents came from northern Jiangxi, my mother tongue is close to the Yang Tze dialects such as Hunan, Hubei & Sezhuan. Although I cannot speak Hakka I can understand most Hakka language. My mother tongue is close to Hakka.
