Celebrate Recovery is a DIFFERENT GOSPEL & a DIFFERENT JESUS & a DIFFERENT BIBLE. Stay Away From It. Believe 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Become Born Again, John 3:3, and ALL your sins are cleansed in the Blood of JESUS, and forgiven, Then start walking with God, and avoid false pseudo-Christian teachings like Celebrate Recovery.

I'll add my Testimony to yours Marty. I too have come to know my Father in Heaven at a very young age and it has been a blessing to me and my family and others that I love. Every time I think I've heard all the words to this session. I see how alot relates to me. When I was lost Jesus did take my sight in one eye. So I come with a new me each time I listen to these songs. I'm sorry Jesus I ever let you down . We are so blessed to have a heavenly father that loves us even when we're trying to hate him. Ahhh it’s me

Quite a message Marty, when we finally understand the Father’s love for His children is unfailing. He sent His Son as a sacrifice to pay our sin debt, then we should realize that His love is real and we should have no fear. Five years ago, I lost my wife of over 50 years to cancer, the night before she died, she woke up from being asleep for about 4 or 5 weeks, told me, my daughter and son, she loved us. I went home and was listening to Beulah Land, the Holy Spirit came to me and I knew she would be in the Arms of Jesus. The hospice called the next morning to tell me she had passed away. I am so blessed to have a relationship with my Savior. We are all charged with spreading the Good News of Christ Jesus. Thank you for your rendition of my favorite gospel song. Merle certainly left some very talented sons!

I went to a couple of CR meetings and just could not stomach it. Grown men "confessing" to each other how they are being tempted yet again, "celebrating" that they have gone so many days without fornicating, or getting drunk, or fill in the sinful blank. Their mantra is that "every man has a hurt, habit, or a hangup." All they talk about is sin and more sin and how HARD it is to do the right thing. I asked them what they thought of the verse in 1 John 5:3 that tells us "...His commandments are not burdensome" - they responded as though I was raining on their already wet parade. Nobody was to judge. But 1 Cor. 5 tells us to avoid any so-called brother who is a drunkard or a fornicator, or a brawler, or an extortioner - in fact the passage tells us to not even eat with such a person. There is NO WAY any of the apostles would have joined a group like this. There is really no celebration, because there is no real recovery. They have traded in one or two addictions for an addiction to a recovery group. I suppose the latter is the lesser of two evils, but I for one and glad I am totally a new creature and that my "old man" is dead. Why would I want to resurrect my past? Yuck. These men are obsessed with sin and have chronic victim mentality. They will never recover. If you are in one of these groups, run. Let the Bible fill you with its truth, that you are the righteousness of God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is the world, that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, that doing the right thing is not burdensome, that you are strong and not weak. In other words, believe the good news of the gospel. You will 50% better in the next minute and 99% better the next day.
