No pumps on any deck? No paddle floats rolled up? No short tow or long tow lines? This awesome video shows a mix of many great skills and a few missing things. Everyone was very cool calm and collected and well practiced in what they did, but she did not seem to have an instinctive roll. Maybe she does and another factor played in that I did not see. Thanks for posting.

Great video, very informative. I have the habit now, for a couple years, of everyone lining up when spray skirts first get on, and everyone goes hands on to every kayak beside them to very quickly inspect every kayak lid on each kayak, starting from rudder, skegs for rocks, stern to bow, and finally to check that each compass is pointing to the same bearing. Once had a small cast iron frying pan under a hatch throwing one persons compass off 12 degrees. Checks help! Thanks for posting.

I spray my ReedChill cheater with 100 percent silicon, and it seems to readily absorb the silicone, keeping those micro-cracks from happening, and water beads up and slides off the material. Just my 2 cents. great video!

I feel like giving you shit about it but only because i am jealous I wasn't there lol . . dont worry about the flak you got they just dont understand what a tsunami is and how awesome that would have been there at exactly the right time to experience such awesomeness from nature and kayaking Happy Yakin

I would love to take it for a spin . I wouldn't know what hit me . we love our kayaks for the kind of kayaking we do , but that thing is top shelf until you take it 4x4 ing like we do our plastic kayaks . happy paddling

I spray my Reed stuff with `100 percent food grade silicon spray. The material becomes supple, stretchy, waterproof, and lasts longer. Great videos.

I have romany sportive, i love it. It is also possible to roll. I wish to try it in more wave conditions. Once I lost hatch cover while transport, but not on water.... Was it impossible to empty kayak on the water? Thank for real good videos!

I had an Anas Acuta many years ago then a Nordkapp, currently an Avocet, as I have just retired I'm treating myself to an Anas Acuta, the only question is what colour? Thinking white hull and deck, but yours does look good too, decisions decisions.lol. All the best enjoy your videos.

Real rescues, real incident management and looks like everyone kept a cool head - those sudden surging waves can always catch us out regardless of how careful/confident we are paddling. Is it just the camera angle or was it quite shallow there in places? Anyway, you guys nailed it!

Your videos are excellent but they don't need any music, especially not heavy metal, that drowns your narration.

Can I ask what you think of the Valley Etain. Is it a barge in your experience or not? Would you get bored with it? Many thanks.

Not surprised she needed a rescue as i also have a Romany sport amd its a very tippy boat and kucky not to have lost a hatch cover as they aren't a great fit . Yes over all not a good boat but strangely gets good reviews 🤔

Different colours for everything, bi coloured kayak with contrasting colours and straight lines seperating colours. Straight lines rarely occur in nature and any colour can be invisible in different conditions so don't coordinate, it isn't a fashion show.

personally I use a level V unless I'm kayak fishing. Brand doesn't really matter as long as it fits. I don't recommend the generic "orange" jackets but they will work if it's all you have. NRS zen and astral green have been my favorite so far.

Living up in Northern Norway and rolling all year around, I wear Brooks tuilik during winther/spring, and my Comfort Paddling tuilik during summer/autumn. I prefer the CP rather than my Reed. Unfortunately CP is difficult to find nowadays. I don’t know if they are out of business.

I have been to Corsica several times by kayak. For me, it's the most beautiful and varied place I've ever been. I love this island. I will go back there many times :)

Aside from visibility, for a composite boat if you are going for the lightest weight clear coat gel adds the least weight, yellow the most (in a pure colour) but some fancy colour schemes with multiple colours and sparkles add even more weight.
